["Behind These Hazel Eyes" by Kelly Clarkson. Perfectly describes Ariel's feelings in this chapter.]

"So glad you're finally back on earth with us again!" joked RichiNix as he and their celebrity pals rejoiced seeing Leon back in Roam. He had stopped going to Roam with them after the fight with Martin Carter.

Since Leon's infamous fallout with Martin, their social group was never quite the same and Martin was not allowed to hang out with them as long as Leon was there, and vice versa. RichiNix and the others had to tread carefully around the two men without mentioning the names of the other to avoid aggravation.

Leon drank one shot after another, trying to drown down his sorrows. Although Ariel never once explicitly said to him if she loved him, to him, she made it known that she doesn't love him. What a fool he was to go over cloud nine after declaring his love to her, only to have his heart broken in pieces — again. It would have been better if she'd never won the cooking competition in the first place!

"Man, you look down," RichiNix remarked, but Leon spoke not and continued his drinking by himself. He was not playing with them their usual drinking games and sat down in the group as a spectator than as a participator. He even ignored the pretty ladies in their company and would rather them not touch him.

"Yeah, I can see that. Having girlfriend problems?" chuckled another celebrity in the group.

"Quit it!" Leon mumbled angrily while the rest of his celebrity friends laughed.

Just then, a tall, thin and long-haired, attractive brunette clad in a tight leopard print dress approached their table.

"Hey there, handsome," she gave Leon a flirtatious greet. He instantly recognised her as one of the top supermodels in the country.

"May I join you handsome boys?" she flashed a sultry smile to the group.

"Not interested," Leon said curtly as he filled his glass mug with beer.

"I'm not asking if you're interested. I just wanna have a seat," she plopped next to him without his approval, triggering playful smirks among his celebrity pals who glanced and nodded at each other at the attractive lady.

"You don't seem happy," the brunette purred and gave him a sad puppy look, "Girlfriend problems?" She placed her arm on his shoulder.

"That's what we thought too!" RichiNix laughed out loud.

"None of your business!" Leon shrugged her arm off and turned his body away from her, drinking his beer.

"You know, I can give you what she can't," she whispered in his ear suggestively. "And every man needs it, including you." She ran her finger along his chest.

"I don't have a girlfriend, so can you go away now?" he pushed her hand away but the corners of her lips turned upwards further at the news.

"Really? Come dance with me!" She pulled him to the dance floor despite his reluctance, triggering playful whistles of encouragement from his celebrity friends who cheered him on to bag a hotter girl than his chef.

The brunette model began dancing suggestively around him, pressing her body against him with each beat. Leon was sore irritated by her insistence after trying to leave a few times. However, after her continued persistence, he found himself being drawn to her charms and her positive spell of being able to relax him and make him feel wanted. it was not long before they started locking lips. His troubles were momentarily lost in that moment.

Ariel woke up in the middle of the morning night at the sound of the loud bang of the entrance door. She heard muffled noises and an unfamiliar lady's voice.

Who's that?

There were chuckles and murmurs and what sounded like passionate kissing.

Curious and somewhat feeling sick with suspicion, she got up and opened her door, and hurried to the direction of the sickening sounds. Ariel froze, wide-eyed in heart-wrenching fear at the sight of two figures frolicking and making out on the living room sofa. The brunette was goddess-like, as if she had just popped out from a fashion spread. Leon was pulling down one of her straps of her dress while kissing her passionately on her lips.

"L-Leon?" Ariel called out with trembling lips, her knees refused to budge despite her strong urge to run away from the offending scene.

The brunette stopped and flashed a mocking grin at Ariel, "Isn't that your girlfriend?"

Leon cast a drunken glance at Ariel and snickered, "Didn't I say before? She's not my girlfriend!" He pulled the model towards himself in a tight embrace and resumed kissing her, ignoring Ariel's presence.

Unable to contain the painful nausea within her, Ariel ran back to her room and slammed the door shut, throwing herself into the bed and crying her eyes out. The murmured sounds of their lustful fornication were killing her inside, shooting up painful migraines to the spot where she was shot.

Why is it that every man she was with was cursed with infidelity? There really wasn't any good men out there who could ever love her for who she was. She was simply undesirable.

Even though she and Leon were never officially together, Ariel wished she had died instantly on that gala night than to live on.
