Previously

I'm about to knock on the door when I hear some dialogue inside the house. I get out a bobby pin Rydel gave me to pick the lock if I need to, and listen.

I hear Laura's voice first..

"... Maia what are you doing here?"

Present~

"...Maia what are you doing here?" I asked her, confused. "Sweetie, I heard what happened between you and Ross. It's hard, but it will be over soon," Maia said. I was confused. I'm really scared of her, since she put me in a coma, but maybe she turned a new leaf.

"I just can't believe he would kiss someone else after he said he loves me," I told Maia. She seemed to understand. "Shh, Shh, I understand. He broke my heart too," Maia said.

All of the sudden the door burst open.

"MAIA GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HER," Ross yelled. "What the hell Ross? Screw you," Maia sneered and put me behind her so I wouldn't be hurt. She really has turned a new leaf. "MAIA STOP BEING STUPID. YOU KNOW THE TRUTH SO TELL LAURA," Ross yelled. I can't believe him.

"LAURA MAIA IS THE ONE WHO KISSED ME AT THE CONCERT. IT WAS ALL HER," Ross pleaded. Maia put a hand over her mouth. She approached Ross. "I can't believe you Lynch. Trying to frame me. I would never to that to Laura," Maia said. I smirked. Way to go Maia.

"WHAT THE HELL. THAT'S A LIE. YOU PUT HER IN A FRICKING COMA," I yelled at her. "Only because I was jealous. You did the same thing to Laura that you did to me; Break Her Heart," Maia spoke.

"Ross I can't believe you. Trying to frame people? Are you really that much of an ass? You sicken me," I yelled at him. Maia smirked. "Way to be Laur," Maia said a patted me on the back. Ross laughed, like he was sickened by me.

"Fine, if you don't believe me, Maia can tell you herself," Ross said. "What do yo-" I was cut off by Ross playing something on his phone, with tears rolling down his cheeks. Weird he only cries when he's completely lost hope of something. Or when he's trying to prove to someone something, and they don't believe him...

"You'll never see the last of me, I swear. Laura will be dead if it's the last thing I do!"

Then Ross stopped the recording. I put a hand over my mouth and started shaking. Was this real?

"Maia, is that true?" I asked, still shaking. "Duh," she replied, like nothing had happened.

"And I'm going to follow up on it," Maia said, grabbing a gun and pressing it against my head.

"NO MAIA. PLEASE. DON'T DO THIS," Ross wailed, letting small rivers flood his face. I'm sorry Ross, but I've had it with my life. There is too much going on. I just want to be able to live somewhere that I'm free.

"Maia, Just Take Me," I tell her, crying a bit myself.

"Gladly," She says, putting bullets in the gun. "Before I do so though, any last words?" Maia asks.

"Of Course," I say, thinking. "So say them," Maia says.

"Ross, remember me. As your best friend. Nothing more, nothing less. I do love you yes, and I'm sorry I didn't have the courage to be with you, but I didn't think I was worth it. Tell Rydel and the girls that I love them and will cherish them forever. Tell the rest of R5 and your family that they've made such a big impact on my life. Tell your mother that I love her like my own," I said, crying.

I looked over at Ross. His eyes were flooding rivers. His classic blonde locks looked like a frizzy nightmare. He was on his knees, crying into his hands. For one quick second though, he looked up and locked eyes with mine. I literally couldn't look away. If I'm going to die, I want to spend every last minute looking into his eyes.

But I found something. Hope. Ross gives me hope. I can't give up. I can't leave him. I have to send him a sign that I need his help to get away from Maia. She has a really strong hold on me right now.

Since we were looking at each other I used the code we used to use on A&A together. I blinked twice and went cross eyed (translation; this table read is boring help me) Ross looked confused. That must have been the wrong one.

I blinked once and made the duckface. (Translation; Sleepover Later?) Ross slightly smiled, but that wasn't the right one either.

Oh! Got it! I blinked three times and smiled. (Translation; Let's get out of here!) He smirked and winked at me. Maia locked the bullets in place, but I wasn't scared anymore. We're doing it our way now. And I'm getting out of this alive. Cause we're doing it the Ross Lynch and Laura Marano Way.

"I'm Laura Marano," I say and Ross speaks up. "And I'm Ross Lynch," he followed. Maia was still holding on to me, but I could tell she was confused. "The hell?" She muttered to herself.

I winked at Ross and he smirked and I started to sing. I remember the parody lyrics that we made back in season 2 of AAA. This is gonna be good.

"Doing things the Raura way," I start off. "Step one; No personal space (no personal space, no personal space) No personal space," Ross sang.

"Step 2 laugh your ass off. (laugh your ass off -repeat-), " I joined in. Maia let go of me and I fell to the ground.

"What the hell are you two doing?" Maia asked. "Singing. What else?" Ross asked. "Want us to finish?" I asked her.

"No, but I never finished with you Marano. YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE," She said and shot my arm. I fell to the ground. "LAURA!" Ross screamed. Maia then ran and didn't look back.

Ross ran over to me. "Ross relax, it's just a flesh wound," I said to him. He smiled. "So you're okay?" he asked. "I've been better, but I'm pretty good," Ross pulled me into a hug. I hugged back with my good arm and he spoke.

"I can't believe that stupid parody worked," he laughed.

"Right?" I laughed with him.

We stayed in each other's arms before he spoke up.

"I love you Marano,"

"I love you too Lynch,"
