8: Broken

It was after school. Everest, Skye, and Chase knocked on Marshall's door.
Mrs.Axes: "Hello?"
Chase: "Hey can we talk to Marshall?"
Mrs.Axes: "Sorry, he's grounded he can't talk with anyone."
Everest: "Oh... okay."
As they started to walk home, Everest burst in tears.
Everest: "I can't even talk to Marshall because of that perv Rocky!"
Skye: "It's okay. How about we all get some Chipotle?"
Chase: "Sure, let's go."
Chase's POV:
We sat at the table while Skye was ordering us food. I got a text message from Rocky.
Rocky: Hey Chase
Chase: What do you want?
Rocky: Is Marshall ignoring me?
Chase: No he has his phone taken away... why would you care?
Rocky: Because I wanted to apologize. See, I like Everest, a lot. But she chose Marshall instead of me. I felt heartbroken. I was a little depressed about it. I should've been more supportive of them. Instead, I let jealousy get the best of me.
Chase: Dang. That's deep. 💯 don't worry we're cool now.
Rocky: Okay if you ever have the chance can you show Marshall the convo?
Chase: Sure, seeya bro.
Rocky: Peace.
Chase looked up from his phone.
Chase: "Since when was the food done?"
Skye: "About five minutes ago... you were to busy on your phone. Lemme see it."
Chase: "Skye, I know what you're thinking. I'm not talking to any girls."
Well, I am a ladies man. Some girls just want me for my looks and body. But all I want is trust, and Skye does that just right.
Skye: "Let me atleast see who you're texting."
Chase: "Fine, don't be mad."
Skye: "I thought you said you weren't texting any girls!"
Chase: "It's not even a girl!! It's... Rocky."
Everest: *gasp* "How could you?"
Chase: "Nonono, Rocky changed. Just look at this convo."
Everest: "No matter how much times he says sorry, I'm not forgiving him."
Skye: "Me too. What he did was horrible."
Skye's POV:
We were enjoying our food 'till I got a text from Shimmer.
Shimmer: Hey Skye wya?
Skye: Chipotle with Everest and Chase.
Shimmer: Oh cool. Wanna stop by my house after? You've never seen it before still.
Skye: Okay! I'll come see it after!
Shimmer: Thanks! Bye!"
After we finished our food we were about to walk to Shimmer's house till Chase got. A text.
Chase: "Ugh. Mom's worried. Gotta go."
Skye: "Lemme see if it's actually your mom!"
Chase: "Dang Skye so overprotective."
Skye: "Okay you're good."
Chase: "Bye, love you."
Skye: "I love you too."
We kissed for like five seconds then he left.

*rings doorbell*
Shimmer: "Everest! Skye! Where's Chase?"
Skye: "He had to go."
Shimmer: "Okay! Come in!"
Everest: "This place is pretty nice!"
Skye: "Yeah it is."
Shimmer: "Thanks! Let's go meet my parents. Mom, Dad, this is Everest and Skye.
Mrs.Peterson: "Why hello there. Make yourself at home."
Mr.Peterson: "Sup."
Skye: "Hi! Let's go to your room, Shimmer!"
Shimmer: "Okay it's this way!"
Everest: "Okay let's talk."
Shimmer: "So, you doing alright without Marshall?"
Everest: "No. it's been miserable."
Skye: "Oh yeah, Shimmer."
Shimmer: "Yeah?"
Skye: "Remember Zuma?"
Shimmer: "Ugh don't bring it up. I just can't go out with him."
Everest: "Why? Is he that bad?"
Shimmer: "It's not Zuma, it's me. I just can't go out with anyone at the moment."
Skye: "Why? Spit it out."
Shimmer: "I can't."
Everest: "We're your best friends!"
Shimmer: *sigh* "Fine. At my old school, I used to date a boy named Clint. I really liked him. We were in a really long term relationship and we were supported by everyone. Until one day, we got a little freaky and we... you know what. The next day I found out I was pregnant. He left me after that. He said he didn't want a child. He left me pregnant, alone, and afraid. The baby bump isn't too big so people don't notice. I just don't know how to tell my parents and I can't date anyone because I don't want the same situation to happen."
After that, she bursted in tears,
Everest: "Aww, it's okay. We'll always be there for you. Promise."
Shimmer: "Thanks guys."
Skye: "We better be heading home, it's getting late. Seeya."
Shimmer: "Bye guys."
