Alex's POV
We get to starbucks and I help Hailey and Jolene out of the car I look over and I see Wilmer's squad car and I saw Demi in the passenger seat I felt tears come into my eyes but I quickly wiped them away when Haily put her arm on my shoulder and said
"Alex can we talk.?"
"There's nothing to talk about Hailey." I said
"Yes there is we seriously need to talk."
Right before she said anything Jennifer comes and says
"Hey Hailey what was the math homework again.?" and she puts her arm around Hailey and they walk off and Jennifer turns around and mouths
"I got your back."
I smile and mouth back
"Thank you."
As we walk in I can feel Hailey's eyes on me but I didn't care about her I only thought of Demi I couldn't stop thinking about her and Jeremy I was expecting a call from the adoption agency waiting on what day I can bring him home I was caught up in my thoughts that time flew by and I was being shook by Perla
"Alex we're gonna be late c'mon!" she said
I was hoping we were late that way we can miss first period and I wouldn't have to see Demi because being in a room with Demi and Hailey was going to be hard on all of us. I drove as fast as I could and we parked near the doors and we got our bags and we ran towards 1st period and we make it inside right when the bell rings Jennifer almost falls but I catch her just in time she laughs and we laugh with her I smile for a second but my smile drops when I see Demi looking right at me and I felt my heart shatter for a second I sat at my usual seat and I read the journal on the board and it said "What are your plans after graduation.?" I thought about it for a brief second I remember I signed up to go out of the country for the college I was going to and help villages savaged by war but that was almost a year ago and I haven't heard anything back yet so I doubt I got accepted to go even though I really wanted to help those poor people that suffered enough rebuild but maybe soon I'll sign up again and go. I finished writing my journal and so did the girls we talked for a second and I feel someones hand brush across my neck it was Demi she walks up to the front of the room and says in a raspy tone of voice
"Okay who would like to come up and share their journal.?"
I see Jennifer raise her hand and Demi smiles at her and says
"Okay Jennifer come up here and read your journal out loud."
Jen smiles at us and she walks up in front if the whole class and she said
"After graduation I plan on going to college sing my ass off when I get the chance hang out with my best friends in the entire world and also marry the love of my life." she said
We laugh and Demi smiles and says
"Awww really and who is this special person.?"
"Who do you think it's Channing freaking Tatum!"
the whole class erupts with laughter including Demi and Jolene says
"But he's already married." she said while laughig
"Pssh I don't care we're still getting married.!" she says
We all laugh again and Demi says
"Ahaha alright Jennifer that's a great plan you can pick someone else to go up." Demi said
"Hmmmmm let me see." Jen said
