Bad Teacher Part 59- Far Apart

Alex's POV

Once we finally got off the plane it was 4:00 am it was dark out here in the desert but it was soon about to be sunlight in a few hours we get off in order and we get into formation then we heard someone shout and before I knew it we stood still and waited for our orders.

"Alright! In case you haven't been informed I'm Sargent Mason and you are all here to serve a purpose does anyone want to remind everyone why we are here.?" he said there wasn't a sound everyone stood still then we hear someone yell

"To protect the villages nearby from harm sir!" Just by hearing that voice I knew it was Stephanie I hear Sargent Mason scoff an say.

"You're missing one damn thing private Mchallan! We are here for one thing and one thing only to help, protect and to save civilians in this city and to eliminate enemy attacks. Each and every one of you have been assigned officers throughout this mission and you will do exactly what they say do I make myself clear!"

"Sir yes sir!" everyone said back

"Good! now meet with your assigned officer and I'll walk by to make sure you're in the right damn spot!" he yelled when he said that Zac,Nick and Stephanie ran to me and there was another person running towards me and I recognized who it was

I said to myself she sees me and smiles and I smile back once we're in order Sargent Mason walks by each person making sure everything is correct. Once he reaches me he stops in his tracks and looks at my name tag and he sees my dads dog tags on me his eyes said everything and he finally spoke up

"Johnson!"

"Yes Sargent Mason!" I yelled back

"Is your father Craig Johnson.?"

"Yes Sir!"

"Well I'll be damned you know I trained your father when he was just starting out, he was the slowest bastard of the pact but after a few weeks he became the best damn officer I ever had the chance of meeting and training and your uncle Danny the best damn pilot I've seen how is Danny by the way.?" he said

"Good sir!" I said

"At ease Johnson I like you already and I see you're carrying on the family tradition of being in the service good work and just because I know you doesn't mean I'll go easy on you..Hell I'll make sure you are on your best and your group as well don't let me down Johnson." he said 

"No Sir I won't!" I said I felt everyone's eyes on me and I can tell that they we're afraid I'd slip up or something or that he'll turn on them too then I see Sargent Mason walking towards Lieutenant Jason and he nods his head then Lieutenant Jason yells

"Alright enough of all this chatter since you are all in groups of 5 you will have to stay in your platoon with 2 other groups some of you will stay in a platoon with only your group in case we cannot fit all of you! Now get your things unpacked because at 6 am sharp you will be sent out into the main city so I suggest you stay on alert unless you want to comeback alive now get moving!" he yelled

We all marched in our assigned camps and it was only 5 beds there so I knew we had this to ourselves the tents we're staying in were a tan color kinda like a big camping tent but this one was stronger and it had lights and everything all of our assigned platoons were next to each other and once we got inside we quickly unpacked everything I put my stuff in the trunk they have in front of the beds and once I finished unpacking everything I notice the picture Demi gave me I smiled and put it in my pocket.
