Alex's POV
I wake up to the sound of birds singing and the sun beaming through the trees I look down and I see Demi still sleeping, her head was still resting on my chest and I have my arm wrapped around her. I kiss her forehead and her eyes gently open she gives me a small smile and she says in her morning voice
"Hey baby did you sleep well last night.?" she said
"Yeah I did baby how about you.?" I said
"I slept like a fucking baby babe." she said I giggled and I hugged her tight she holds onto me and I say
"C'mon babe let's get breakfast ready we have a long day ahead of us." I said I see Demi's smile drop when I said that but she quickly smiles again but it was a weak one I can tell she wanted to cry
"Y-yeah let's go I'm starving." she said I give her a worried expression and I kissed her on the lips before we head downstairs she kisses back and she holds onto my hand the entire time not wanting to let go we break apart and we smile at each other and I said
"I'll meet you downstairs baby I have to change." I said
"Okay baby I'm going to wake up Jeremy and we'lll have breakfast together." she said
"Okay baby I'll be down in a second I love you." I said
"I love you too baby." she said
I walk inside our bedroom and I see Demi go to Jeremy's room I close the bedroom door shut and I open the closet I see my bag packed and everything ready to go I sigh and said
"Today is going to be hard and long day for the both of us." I said to myself
Demi's POV
I felt tears in my eyes when I realized Alex was leaving in just a few hours I walk inside Jeremy's room and he's sitting on his little bean bag chair playing with his action figures.
"Hi Mommy." Jeremy said with a smile
"Hey baby what are you doing.?"
"Playing with the toys aunt Dallas gave me look look this guy is my favorite." he said as he showed me his Spider man figure
"Aww that's so nice of Auntie Dallas for buying you those toys while she was taking care of you did you say thank you.?" I said
"Yeah I did Mommy then she bought me Ice cream with Auntie Maddie."
"Wow your aunties spoiled you yesterday didn't they.?" I said giggling he shook his head and smiled and I said
"C'mon baby it's time to make breakfast you can bring your new toys while we make breakfast." I said
"Okay Mommy" he said he grabs all his figures and we walk downstairs I put Jeremy down in his high chair and I walk to the counter and I hear my phone ringing I run to it and Jennifer is calling me I quickly answer it
"Hey Jennifer are you guys coming already.?" I said
"Yeah we are we got everything ready and we have everyone here to help can you distract Alex for a few while we set everything in the backyard.?"
"Sure I'll take her out to go eat breakfast and be back in 30 minutes will that be okay.?" I said
"That'll be enough time have fun you two and we'll see you later bye Dems." said Jennifer
"Bye Jennifer thanks for helping me with this." I said
"No problem Demi we're glad to be here for Alex and you." she said
