Nick's POV
ALEX!!" I yelled
I quickly rushed over to her and I held her in my arms, I heard footsteps running up the stairs but I was mainly focused on keeping Alex and her dad alive then I heard a familiar voice say.
"Nick! We're coming!" I heard them say and I quickly knew it was Zac, Once they reached the top floor I saw Demi and she stops dead in her tracks once she saw Alex and her dad covered in blood and laying on the ground. She screamed in horror and began to sob
"NO! ALEX! CRAIG! NOT AGAIN! NOT AGAIN!" she said
"We need medics up here now! We have two down! We have one with a fatal stab wound and another with 2 gunshot wounds!" I yelled into my walkie talkie
"Demi come here you don't need to see this." Zac said as he tried pulling her away from them, she didn't need this right now she's gone through too much.
"No! let me go! I need to be there for her! I need to be there!" she said she keeps trying to get out of Zac's grip and she stops when she sees Stephanie on the floor too.
"Did you make sure she's dead?" she said without any emotion in her voice
"She's lost a lot of blood Dems she's gone" Zac said
"They said that the last time and look what the fuck happened!" she yelled
"But this time I'll make sure that bitch is dead..." she said she grabs Zac's gun from his holster and shoots Stephanie's motionless body over and over again.
"JESUS DEMI SHE'S FUCKING DEAD!" Zac said as Demi kept firing his gun, once the gun ran out of ammunition Demi still kept pulling the trigger and threw the gun right across the hall. Demi falls on her knees and sobs as Zac held her in his arms.
"Ahhh! Fuck!" she said sobbing
I heard footsteps running up the stairs and it was the paramedics I quickly move out of their way, that way they can rush Alex and her dad to the hospital. Demi's still sobbing after she sees the paramedics strap Alex with IV's a air mask to help her keep breathing she looks at Zac and says
"Let me go I have to go with them!" she said trying to get out of his grip
"Demi let them do their job! they haven't finished prepping her to go to the hospital yet." he said
Once they were done, Demi jumped out of Zac's arms and limped to the stairs and tried to go down the stairs after them but her leg cast was in the way. Zac gets up and helps her downstairs and I hear Zac yell
"Nick are you coming?!"
"In a minute...there's one thing I have to do.." I said I walk over Stephanie's body and I see Zac's gun lying on the floor, I pick it up and wipe off Demi's fingerprints off of it and I put the gun in my holster. I grab my walkie talkie and I call it in
"This is Officer Nick Efron, calling in that Stephanie Mchallan is dead..I need officers up here and also a medic van to get her out of here." I said I turn off the walkie talkie and I look at her. Demi really did a number on her, all I felt in that moment was pure anger and I looked at her lifeless body and said
"Good Riddance.." I walked away and ran downstairs to make sure Demi and Zac were still there and they were. I ran to them and said
"What happened? I thought you were going to the hospital with them?
"They didn't let us Nick, there wasn't any room left we have to drive over there after them." said Zac
"Alright I'll take you guys there." I look at Demi and she's holding onto Jeremy trying to make sure he doesn't see anything harmful."
