Alex's POV
It's been 4 weeks into this mission and I've been working harder than ever over these past few weeks I've been shot at and saved people in villages if Demi found out about that it would drive her insane so I decided not to tell her, I talk to Demi on facetime and call her almost everyday and she's happy that I'll be home soon.I've gotten closer to Zac,Nick and Riley we've basically became best friends, Stephanie on the other hand we haven't talked she's tried talking to me but I ignore her. We had free time on the base since it was dark outside so we all gathered around and we started talking about our lives back home when we all moved towards the middle of the room I see Stephanie get up and leave Nick looks at me and says
"What's her problem.?" he said
"I haven't got a clue she's always been like that." I said
"What do you mean always have you known her before all this.?" Zac said I never mentioned to them that I actually know Stephanie they know about Demi but not about Stephanie and what she did to me then Riley said
"Yeah she hated Alex ever since they were in elementary school Alex never did anything to her she always helped others and Stephanie made fun of her for it" said Riley
"Yeah I never really understood why she made my life a living hell she tried to take everything I love especially someone who I deeply care about." I said
"Wow what a bitch someone caring and down to earth like yourself doesn't deserve to go through something as horrible as that." said Zac
"How long has she been bullying you Alex.?" Nick said with concern I thought about it and it all came rushing back to me when she would make fun of Marley after she passed away and said it should've been me to have gotten hit, all those beatings and the reasons scars appeared on my wrists from 4th grade up until senior year I dealt with her I tried holding back tears and I sighed and said
"8 years... she bullied me everyday for 8 years up untill graduation." I said
"That's horrible Alex I'm sorry that you had to deal with that much pain for years she had no right at all and what happened at graduation.?" said Nick
"She tried talking to me but I didn't want my night to be ruined so I left we still haven't talked nor do I want to talk to her." I said my lip was quivering then I said
"I helped people with their issues when I was dealing with my own, the higlight of my life was when I met Demi she means everything to me and so does Jeremy." I said I smiled a little as I held the picture Demi gave me
"Even though we've only seen Demi and said hi to her for a few seconds on facetime and we never actually met her we can tell she means the world to you." said Zac
"She does she said I saved her but in reality she saved me..." I said I gently wipe a tear that was caught in my eye and I said
"Guys I'll be right back I uh..I'm gonna check on something." I said they nod their heads but their eyes showed concern I walked out of the tent for a brief second and I let a few tears fall I wipe them away when I hear someone coming I see the tent flap move and it was Zac
"Alex wait." Zac said in a quiet tone
"Yeah Zac what's on your mind.?" I said trying to hide my watery eyes
"You're crying.." he said as he stares into my eyes his blue eyes meeting my brown eyes and I say
"Yeah I know but it's nothing to worry about Zac I'm fine." I said
