Ronnie's POV

I jolt upwards, awakening me from my slumber.

I was breathing heavily and sweating bullets.

Bullets..

I hadn't had a nightmare since I was a kid.

It was just a one time thing.

Everything is going to be okay.

I threw off my cover and stood up.

Ignoring what I had just saw.

Reliving everything all at once.

Chicago. Sydney. Cars. Warehouse. Vidcon. Lucas..

I slump over to my window and crouch down on my knees.

The moon had always calmed me; the forgotten brother of the sun.

Looking out over the backyard and pool.

Everything was so calm.

My eyes traced over everything corner and nook of the garden.

Alot had changed.

A slip n slide and large pink podium had arrived in my absence.

An umbrella with a single metal chair sitting underneath.

Why would there be one chair in the garden that was residented by 8 people?

I blinked and with the motion of my sliding eyelids.

A person.

A man sitting under the umbrella on the single metal chair.

No.

This isn't real.

I was still dreaming; stuck in my own fuck up mind.

He was in jail.

There is no way that he could be sitting there right now.

Close your eyes and it will go away.

I reopened my eyes and there he was right in front of me.

Standing over me.

It's not real.

Suddenly, he flew forward-

Aaron's POV

I jumped out off bed when I heard a heart wrenching scream coming from upstairs.

Ronnie's room.

Buddy chasing after me as I run down the hall and to the ladders.

The ladder hatch was shaking.

Thumping ricocheting off of the door.

Her screaming still persistent,

"RONNIE!" I cried out as I tried to unhook the latch.

My hands were too shaky and I couldn't focus.

All I could focus on was the screaming of desperation and fear coming from my bestfriend.

The latch unhooked and the ladders flew down.

Ronnie tumbling down with them as they slammed against the floor.

She was hitting her head and kicking thin air.

I grabbed her and held her tightly in my arms.

She fought back with resistance and continued to scream and struggle,

"RONNIE!" I yelled and her eyes opened.

Staring at the ceiling then at me.

Her head was bleeding.

She had scratched it up pretty bad.

She started sobbing and gripping onto me.

I shushed her and held her closely,

"What happened?" I ask with a soft tone.

She seemed terrified and i didn't want to add anymore fear,

"I don't- know I I- I saw him" she choked out, her lips quivering between each pause,

"Saw who?" I question now feeling worry.

I look up into the attic and nothing was to be seen but the white walls,

"Ronnie, saw who?" I ask again,

"I saw Lucas" she spoke clearly.

Wiping her tears and trying to steady her breathing,

"What? How?",

"A stupid nightmare- I'm fine it was nothing" she says calmly.

Does she seriously think that I believe that?

I go to speak but was quickly cut off by a door opening.

2 doors actually.

Sam and Colby standing in there doorways.

Looking inbetween each other with faces of confusion,

"What happened? Are you okay?" Colby questions as he rushes over to Ronnie,

"I'm fine I just- um fell" Ronnie lies as she points up to the hatch and glares at me.

We will speak about this another time,

"I heard her scream then I came to see what had happened..." I added to make her lie sound more convincing.

Colby helped her up and helped her to the bathroom to clean up.

I push myself up off the floor and Sam spoke up,

"What the hell happened?" He asked,

"I have no idea"
