We all headed towards the nearest bar.
I’m worried for Dan. He’s never good with his alcohol.
We entered the pub.
Quite a few people here for 8 o'clock…
Drunkies.
We made our way to the bar, ordering our drinks.
"Four beers," John said.
"I'll have a whiskey," Dan ordered. I frowned. Here we go.
"What'll you have, Lily?" John looked at me, smiling.
"Uhm... Peggy and I will have some beer as well." I replied, unsure.
"Make that six beers, please." John told the bartender.
Peggy leaned closer to me, “Are you sure you want to do this, Lils? I can tell how uncomfortable you are at the moment..” She whispered.
I frowned, “I’m not sure, Peggy. You’re right. I want to have a good time with you all though. It’s just..” I turned to Dan, watching him chug his drink down.
“Him.” I whispered.
Dan gave me a goofy grin as he ordered another whiskey.
I felt Peggy gently place her hand on mine.
“It anything happens, you shout to me. Alright? I’m your bodyguard for the night.” She smiled.
I weakly smiled back, “Thanks, Peggy.”
Peggy leaned to her right, “I think somebody has the eyes for ya.” She smirked, turning my chair around.
“Who?” I softly asked.
Peggy smirked, pointing to John.
John smiled at me, giving me a wink.
I blush, “I’m not sure, Peggy. I’m getting married soon.” I softly tell her.
Peggy smirked again, “You’re still a free woman, but you’re right now that I think of it.”
I turn my chair around, “What do you mean?” I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
Peggy frowned, “The block is married.” She mumbled, taking a drink.
My eyes widened, “John? No he isn’t! He can’t be.” I said.
John is too young to be married.
Lily, what are you saying? You’re too young to get married.
What if this is a mistake?
“Yeah, he has a kid and everything. Johnny there won’t admit it to ya.” Peggy said.
I shake my head. You’re just drunk, Peggy. Shut it.
I glance over at John as he begins to flirt with another girl.
Maybe he is that type to be with girls. I wouldn't be surprised. But him taking care of a kid? I can't imagine it.

Six beers later we were all pretty loopy, at least I was. I never was a drinker.
Dan stumbled up to me, he reeked of whiskey.
"He-Hey baby.." He slurred.
I cringe at his smell.
"Come on, let's go somewhere... more private" He smirked.
