---Shyama's PoV---

I was hurting from sleeping on the sofa. I woke up early and made breakfast.

"Good morning," both of his parents said.

"Morning. I made breakfast," I said.

"Well, at least I didn't have to cook today," his mom said.

I served both of them and they both liked the food. They had to leave and I waited for my idiot of a husband to wake up.

He should be up anytime because he has work.

I ate really quick before he woke up.

He wasn't up even after I was done.

I decided to go and wake him up.

I shook him a little and told him to wake up.

It took seven tries before he opened his eyes.

"Your gonna be late," I said and left.

---Atif's POV ---

I woke up when i felt someone shaking me to get up.

I saw it was Shyama and she told me I was getting late and left.

I looked at the time to see that I was so I quickly got up and got ready.

I went downstairs to see her busy doing something. I didn't want to tell her I'm leaving but she said my name so I had to hear what she needed to say.

"Breakfast is ready," she said.

"Not hungry," I said and left.

Complete lie because I was starving. I decided to get some fast food breakfast but then I realized I left my wallet at home.

I had to wait until lunch to eat. Thankfully, Mithul was back so I can ask him to have lunch. He has been here for a week now and we need to catch up.

We started our work & I was able to forget about my hunger for a bit.

Dad walked in around our lunch time, which meant he would take it from there.

He was talking and catching up with Mithul.

"I'm going to have lunch with my wife," he said.

Seriously?! I'm freaking starving here!

"You really love her,'' dad said.

'' She's my wife. The last thing I would want is for her to be upset. I love her. I would never forgive myslef if there was even a hint of a tear in her eye," he said.

Stupid a*s! Your wife is dumb if she's gonna cry about you not having lunch with her.

"I'm proud to call you my son," dad said to him.

Hey! Real son sitting right here!

"Go and take the rest of the day off. Be with your wife," he said.

Are you kidding me? He had a honeymoon! Let him work.

"Really?'' He asked and dad nodded.

"Thank you," he said and left.

Wow!

"Atif, do me a favor and call your wife," he said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Now!" Was his reply.

I called her.

"Hello," she said and I gave it to dad.

"Hello. How are you? Did you have lunch? Are you okay?" He piled her with questions.

She is fine! Not a kid.

"He didn't?" Dad asked looking at me.

What now?

He put the conversation on speaker and glared at me. He motioned that I don't say a word.

"Why do you care?" He asked her.

"Why shouldn't I? He's my husband. I just want to know if he's fine. Yes or no, it is a one word answer," she said.

She does know to act like husband and wife in front of dad.

"Why don't you come and join him for lunch then?" He asked.

Uuummm no.

"I uuuummm....we...he...uuumm...he is probably busy," she said.

"Or do you feel that he doesn't want to see you?" He asked.

Did she tell him?

"No! I know he is busy. Just please make sure that he eats something please," she said.

Why are you doing this? I'm not going to be a husband that you want.

"I don't have time to see if he eats," he said.

"Please. I know Anika is out with her husband. Please just a quick peak. I promise he won't bother you," she said.

"Fine," he said.

I was expecting him to ask but he didn't.

"His door is locked and I even knocked. I think he doesn't want to be bothered," he said.

"Tell him it is you at the door," she said.

He pretended to knock and say it was him.

"I got my answer," she said. "I'm going to kill that b*tch if I ever see her."

What the hell is happening? And she isn't my wife to me. If there was someone with me then she should be okay with it.

"Do you what he would like for dinner?" She asked.

"He won't be hungry. No need to make anything," he said.

"But I..." she was saying but he hung up and left.

What the hell was that about?
