"Hey, Sir?" 

I walk up to my well-recognized boss who was sipping his tea, watching me follow out my punishment. That was cleaning. I don't even know what I did wrong. 

"What is it, brat?"

He addresses me and he raises an eyebrow in question. I don't like how he called me a brat, but he always does that to me, so. 

"When's your birthday?" 

I ask out of the blue. What? I'm interested and it's better than working with this dead silence.

"Why the sudden question," He places his cup down and give me his stoic look, his steel gray eyes boring into my own. 

"Just want to know," I shrug and await his answer. I mean it wasn't a lie, but that wasn't the complete reason. Truth was, I have a teeny crush on my boss. Petra, my co-worker, roommate, and best friend, keeps on pointing out that it's not just a tiny crush which can get annoying sometimes. 

"Ask Petra," he replies so bluntly. Thanks for that amazing answer. I frown and go back to my cleaning. 

He keeps on watching me and it's kinda creepy. I turn around and once I do, his head turns the other way. 

I tilt my head in confusion but let it go. I work harder to get it over with.

I wipe my forehead with my arm in a way to erase the sweat that was slowly dripping down the side of my head. I yawn from exhaustion as he checks to see if my work was efficient. 

He wipes a finger across the desk and very little to no dust appears on it. He lets out a sigh. 

"Hmph, it passes," he starts to leave, "You are relieved from work. I'll see you tomorrow." 

I sigh in a tired, but grateful, state. 

"Thank you, Sir!" I smile and skip away from the now spotless room. 

Levi makes a 'tch' noise as I left. Did I annoy him? I don't recall me do anything besides hiding his stuff. But I gave them back. 

Oh well, now I got to go and find Petra. Levi told me that she knew his birthday, no surprise there. I mean, Petra and Levi are practically best friends, maybe even more. Am I jealous? 

You can bet your tiddlywinks I am. I can't get mad at her, though. It's not her fault she needs to talk to him. He's her boss for God's sake! 

Why am I overthinking this? I'm acting stupid now, ugh. 

"Hey (Y/N)!" I hear an adorable yet familiar voice from behind me. 

It was Petra, perfect! 

"Where were you?" She asks with a concerned look on her face, "I didn't see you in your cubicle! Here's the work you need to complete in the next two days." 

She hastily hands, well more like throws, my assignments toward me and we leave to go to the apartment we lived in. Conveniently, the building is only a couple of block down to the Wings of Freedom Corporation Building, where we work. Everything's going too conveniently well for my standards. How high are they? You decide.

We walk over to the apartment building. I dig into my pocket and pull up my keys. I fumble to find the right one and stuck it into the keyhole. 

I push open the door and plop on the bed.
