Lydia's POV
It was the day of the trip, and after a whole weekend of begging my brother to let me go, he finally caved after talking to Haley. I agreed to his terms:
1- No Drinking
2-No sex
3-No Drugs

Sounds pretty good to me. Especially after what happened last week, I do not need a repeat of that.

"Hey Lydia! Are you ready for a week of no parents and parties?" Piper questions excitedly, I chuckle. "Piper, it's not a vacation-"

"It practically is. The teachers don't watch what we do, especially the ones chaperoning us, we can go and do whatever we please." Gray interrupts with a smile, I chuckle and reply "Sweet."

"You know what's even more sweet? Gray gave up his seat so you could sit next to lover boy." Piper teases with a wink, I glare at her. "What? You guys can't avoid each other forever. You guys made out and had a moment, you can't ignore that."

"Piper, I'm not mad at the fact that you're trying to get us to talk. I'm mad at the fact that it's five in the morning, I look disgusting and you're making me sit next to a hot guy-"

"So you admit you find him attractive!" She teases, I roll my eyes and then glare at her. "I don't know what I'm saying! I'm suffering from sleep deprivation!" I shouted back as I got on the bus. Here goes nothing.

As I got on the bus, I couldn't ignore the stares that I was getting from everyone. Not that I blame them though, I have no makeup on, I'm in my pajamas, and I didn't even bother to do my hair. I just rolled out of bed, grabbed a muffin, and had Haley drive me to school. I probably look like Mr Tumnus from The Chronicles Of Narnia movie.

I sat next to Brandon with a pout as he looked at me with wide eyes. "Go on, say it. I look horrible, I know." He shakes his head and smiles. "That's not it at all. Different yes but horrible? Not one bit." I couldn't help but smile. I know he's sugar coating it but I'll take the compliment anyways.

"I think we need to talk about what happened Friday-"

"I agree. Look, I was out of line when I kissed you. You were vulnerable yet I did it anyways, good guys don't do things like that." He says sincerely, I sigh and shake my head. "No, I kissed you back-"

"But it was my fault, what I'm trying to say here is I'm sorry." He starts rambling on until I just grabbed his face and made him look at me. "Brandon! Listen to me! You did nothing wrong!"

"I like you Lydia, more then I have ever liked anyone and that scares me. I know it scares you too after what happened to your last boyfriend, so I'm not going to pressure you into anything. I don't know what we are but as long as I don't lose you I don't care." I couldn't help but smile again. I put my head on his shoulder, grabbed his hand and intertwined our fingers.

"We have the whole week to do whatever we want. Think of this as an escape from reality. We can be whoever we want to be and not have a care in the world." I reply honestly. He chuckles. "Okay, perfect life, go."

"Me, my friends, and my siblings would have our annual movie nights. We would have a big backyard and set up a projector screen while our mom would be baking cookies in the kitchen as our dad comes home and greets all of us with hugs and presents. I would be cuddled up with my boyfriend on our picnic blanket while my friends teased us, he would tell me he loves me which will only make my brother want to hurt him but Haley holds him back and let's me enjoy the moment. It would be perfect." I reply with a big smile as I actually close my eyes and imagine it.

"That sounds beautiful." I look up at him and smile. "What about you? What would your perfect life be like?" I question, he chuckles.

"This sounds really cheesy but my perfect life would be how things were before my mom died, just with you in it and without the whole overachievers thing. Everything wouldn't be complicated, instead it would be simple and romantic. We would all be happy. That's all I wish for."
