Guys, please don't write continuations of my stories in the comments. Someone wrote an extended ending of the last one shot in the comments that's incredibly similar to what I'd been planning for this part three. Now I can't use it without people assuming I'm copying them. Please, don't do that!

Nick was sitting at a bar, looking like he'd just walked through a hurricane. He didn't know how to feel at the moment other than numb. It didn't make sense to him, and yet it made perfect sense.

He wiped his cheek as a tear slipped down it. He stared at the damp spot on his hand, curiously. What was he supposed to feel when his finacé had called off their wedding the day of in the middle of the ceremony when his best man admitted to loving him for fifteen years? How was he supposed to feel knowing he'd been Roman's second choice, and as soon as the first one opened up, he'd taken it?

It wasn't as if it was an easy choice though... He'd left the altar and Nick had found him in tears as he paced the room he'd been getting ready in. He was gushing all his thoughts and feelings without a filter, panicking. He couldn't help but feel sympathy for Roman as he talked him down from his panic so he could make a clear headed decision. He never would've thought that he'd pick Virgil, but he couldn't exactly blame him. What would Nick have done?

If I loved someone that dearly, but let them go because I didn't think it would happen, but they came back to admit they loved me, would I chose them? he thought as he swirled the drink in his hand. I don't know... but I think Roman had already made up his mind. He's a hopeless romantic...

He smiled sadly as he looked into the amber colored liquid in his glass. He was going to miss Roman, but he wanted him to be happy even if it wasn't with him.

Nick looked up in shock as someone sat down next to him; that someone was Roman, still in his suit. He glanced out the window, seeing Virgil waiting outside awkwardly. When he looked back at his previously fiancé, he was holding a drink. "You don't have to say anything," he said, looking at Nick. "But I wanted you to know how much I did love you. This wasn't an easy decision, and it's consequences won't leave my conscience for a very long time."

Roman placed his hand gently on top of Nick's, who looked up with glossy wide eyes. "You're such and incredible person, Nick," he told him, voice completely genuine. "You deserve so much better than someone like me, and I have faith that you'll find someone who makes you even happier that I could've some day."

He smiled shakily at his words as Roman squeezed his hand. "I hope that this will not be the last time we speak to each other. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to contact me," he said, pressing a quick farewell kiss to his cheek as he stood up.

"Hey pretty boy!" Nick called as he paused at the door. He gave him a sad smile as he spoke. "Be happy, alright? And tell that Virgil that if he ever breaks your heart, I'll slap him."

Roman laughed, nodding with a wave as he left the bar. Nick watched with a heavy heart as he took Virgil by the hand and they began to walk off. His eyebrows furrowed as he stopped. The man wearing a black tuxedo pulled away and enter the bar, walking straight toward him. "I just wanted to say... I'm sorry," Virgil said, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. "You're a really incredible guy, Nick. I don't even deserve him."

He looked out the window at Roman waiting outside, Nick following his gaze. He nodded in understanding, having felt that way himself when he first started dating him. Virgil sighed as he looked back at Nick. "I just want you to know that if I can do anything for you, I won't hesitate. It's the least I can do."

"I have one request," Nick said, making the anxious emo look up in surprise. He nodded to show he was listening. "Take good care of him."

Virgil looked shocked, but smiled a little, nodding. "I will, I promise," he said, earning a nod from Nick as he headed to the door.

"And Virgil?" he called as he opened it. He turned to look back at him, curious of what he was going to say. "I don't know if Roman told you yet, but if you hurt him, I'll make sure you get what you deserve for it."

The anxious emo laughed a little, nodding. "I won't," he said, giving him another small smile as he exited the bar and rejoined his new boyfriend. They waved a little at Nick and continued to walk away, leaving him to look back at his drink sadly.

"Hey there," a voice said, making Nick look up in surprise. The bartender was cleaning a glass and looking at him. As he looked around, he noticed how empty it was.

"O-Oh, sorry, if you're closing, I can leave-"

"Nonsense," the bartender said with a small laugh. "You look like you could use another drink."

He slid him another drink, saying it was on the house. Nick could only accept it with a small thank you. He watched as he drank it and placed the glass back down on the bar. The bartender leaned forward on his elbows.

"You wanna talk about it?" he asked, nodding to where Roman and Virgil had previously been.

Nick chuckled a little, running his fingers through his wavy brown hair as it fell over his eyes. "What is there to talk about? My fiancé's best man admitted he loved him in the middle of our wedding and he chose to call it off to be with him instead. It's alright, I'll be alright with some time..."

The bartender was silent as he looked down with a sad smile. To his surprise, a slip of paper was slid in his direction. As he looked at it, he realized it held numbers on it. It was a phone number. Nick's eyes widened as he looked up at the bartender.

"When you've had some time to think," he said with a kind smile. "Just give me a call."

He blushed as he winked at him, walking away to start closing down the bar. He lead him to the door, and bid him a goodnight. Nick looked down at the number, smiling a little as he put the number into his phone.

Yeah, he'd be alright.

For those of you that wanted to know more about the fiancé, you're welcome.
