Now, Roman wasn't his boyfriend or anything, but he felt terrible for not assisting Virgil with his panic attacks. He'd many times seen the emo nightmare after one of said attacks, wiping at his eyes and still shaking slightly. Rather than asking if he was alright, the prince turned the other way out of fear of pressuring him. The last thing he wanted was to make it worse, especially since he knew their history together wasn't exactly lighthearted. To this day, he felt guilt over things he'd said months ago.

One day, he caught Virgil on the ending half of an attack, holding himself as he shook and tears rolled down his cheeks. Seeing the anxious Side curled up and hugging himself gave him an idea. Roman returned to his room, concentrating on creating what he thought of. Soon enough, something soft and fluffy was in his hands. Opening his eyes, he smiled at his success and hurried toward Virgil's room.

Knocking on the door, he heard a faint 'Come in' from inside. He opened the door, hiding the object behind his back. "Greetings Virgil," he said, smiling. He noticed there was some redness to his eyes, telling the prince he'd been crying.

"Is there something you need, Princey?" he asked, not making eye contact as he approached him.

Roman nodded, pulling the object out from behind his back and giving it to Virgil. "Here!" he said with a smile. The emo nightmare's eyes went wide as he held it. "I thought you'd like something to calm you down during your attacks."

Virgil looked down at the red teddy bear in his hands, feelings his eyes go watery with happiness. He smiled shakily, hugging it tightly. "T-Thank you, R-Roman," he murmured, looking up at him as he cuddled the bear. The sight made the prince's cheeks warm.

"N-No problem, Virge," he replied, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. "I'm glad you like it."

"I don't like it," he said, making Roman's head snap toward him in confusion. "I love it."

The prince sighed in relief as the emo nightmare giggled a tiny bit, burying his face into the bear. "Well, I'm very happy you love it," Princey said, sitting down on the edge of the bed. "If there's anything else I can help with when it comes to your attacks, please don't hesitate to come find me. I want to help, and its the least I can do after some of the things I've said."

"Oh, Roman, you don't have to worry about that," Virgil said, looking at him in confusion as he looked away. "We both said some stupid things, because neither of us knew each other that well. We've both been getting better about it."

The prince sighed, shrugged. "That may be the case, but the words I've said still weigh heavily on my conscience," he said, sighing again.

Virgil was quiet for a moment, watching Roman as he looked up at the ceiling. He was lost in thought, looking like a wounded puppy. He contemplated his options, wanting to ease the fanciful Side's mind. "Roman, would it help you to know that I think you as more than a friend?" he murmured quietly. The prince looked at him in shock, seeing the anxious Side fidgeting with the bear. "Would that help to ease your mind that your words don't still hurt me?"

Roman smiled, leaning closer to him. "It does, in fact, help immensely," he said, making the emo nightmare blush. "It also helps me gain the confidence to say this: Virgil, would you give me the honor of taking you on a date?"

The anxious Side giggled again, nodding as he rolled his eyes. "Always so dramatic," he said, smiling. "I'd love to."
