"Hey Virgil, I feel like I should let you know I'm gay," Roman said one afternoon. His emo roommate looked up in confusion before shrugging. "You're... you're not going to say anything about this?"

Virgil shrugged again. "Cool I guess," he said. "I'm not, so whatever."

Roman wasn't satisfied with his response, but just dropped the subject. About a month later, he brought his new boyfriend to his apartment, much to his roommate's disliking. They were cuddling on the couch while he played on the PS4 and Roman kept catching Virgil shooting disgusted glares in their direction. He didn't bring it up until his boyfriend left.

"Hey, Virgil? Are you, like, homophobic or something?" he asked cautiously. "You were glaring at me when I was cuddling with-"

"No I'm not freaking homophobic," he snapped, leaving the room before Roman could say anything else. Virgil closed the door to his bedroom, feeling confused as he shook out his head. "I'm not gay either..."

After another year of Roman bringing home several boyfriends, he was starting to get annoyed. Every time he'd be affectionate towards him, Virgil would glare or leave the room. He was starting to think he actually was homophobic, and he was getting fed up with it. One afternoon, he confronted him.

"Virgil, I don't get it," he said, voice firm. "What do you have against me? Every time I've gotten a boyfriend in the past year, you've looked disgusted. Don't tell me it's nothing because it's clearly not."

The emo nightmare sighed, looking annoyed. "I just hate seeing you kiss guys," he said.

"Oh! So you hate seeing me kiss guys, but you're not homophobic?" Roman asked, voice laced with sarcasm as he continued. "That makes perfect sense!"

Virgil glared at him and stood up. He stalked over to him and grabbed him by the shirt. For a brief moment, Roman thought he was going to hit him. Instead, he pulled him into a passionate kiss. He gasped, eyes slipping closed as his roommate kissed him. When he pulled away, Virgil spoke again.

"Maybe I wouldn't have a problem with you kissing guys if the guy you were kissing was me," he muttered, earning a smile from Roman.

"So, you want me to kiss you, but you're not gay," he replied playfully as Virgil smirked. "Makes perfect sense."
