the school days passes, and it's time for another club meeting, namjoon feeling slightly more comfortable being in the clubroom over the past couple of days. upon entering the clubroom, the usual scene greets him.
taehyung smiles, leaning back in his seat. "hi, namjoon! i forgot you'd be coming here. i'm still not used to you being the club. i'm kinda hungry, though. will you come with me to buy a snack from the vending machine?"
"no way," namjoon says, shaking his head.
"that's not like you at all!" taehyung exclaims, pouting. "why won't you?"
"i have my reasons. let's take a look at what's in your wallet, tae," namjoon responds gesturing to taehyung's backpack that was set on top of the desk. taehyung nervously retrieves his wallet. then, he opens it up and lets its contents spill onto the desk. only two small coins fall out.
taehyung gently puts them back in wallet, laughing awkwardly. namjoon shook his head. "i knew it. i can see right through you, taehyung."
"that's not fair. how did you even know?"
"it's simple. if you had enough money in the first place, you would have a bought a snack before coming to the clubroom. so, either you're not hungry and wanted a excuse to take a walk or, you conveniently forgot that you spent all your money, so that i would lend you some. but there's one more thing...you're always hungry," namjoon replies, sitting in the seat next to taehyung. "and that only leaves one option."
"i give up!" taehyung shouts, resting his forehead on the desk. "don't make me feel guilty!"
"if you feel guilty, that means you deserve to feel guilty."
yoongi laughs, closing his book. neither boys noticed he was listening in. taehyung pouts and points at namjoon. "yoongi, tell him to let me borrow some money."
"don't get me involved like that," yoongi responds, opening his book up again to resume reading. "besides, you should only buy what you can responsibly afford. and frankly, after pulling a mischievous little stunt like that, your suffering is fair enough retribution."
taehyung sighs, lifting his head from the desk. "yoongi's right. i did something bad and now i have to accept the revolution."
"retribution," yoongi corrects, messing with a strand of his mint hair that had seemingly been getting on his nerves for the past two minutes. "but hearing that you think i'm correct..."
"well, you are! there's a little devil inside all of us," taehyung says, smiling. however, something suddenly smacks taehyung across the face, landing in his lap. he shouts in surprise. "ow...what was―a cookie!"
sure enough, it's a giant cookie wrapped in plastic. taehyung glances around. "is this a miracle? yoongi, it's because i paid my restitution!"
"retribu- you know what? i'm not even going to correct you this time."
a sudden laugh from behind causes namjoon to jump. jeongguk is standing in the doorway, holding a cookie of his own. "i was going to give it to you normally. it was totally worth seeing your reaction, though!"
"j-jeongguk! a cookie from kookie...that's so nice of you! i'm so happy." the blond hugs his cookie. he rapidly tears open the wrapper and takes a big bite. "so good. i'm really happy that you shared your food with me!"
