"How are you feeling?" Luke asked me as I sipped on some juice.

I was released from the hospital yesterday and I learned that I had internal bleeding in my stomach which I have to check my blood pressure like every hour.

I'm still kind of sore but I hot bath will fix that later.

"I'm feeling good actually" I replied "how about you?"

He looked kind of confused when I asked him that. "I'm good"

I gave him a smile before finishing my juice, I was about to stand up and bring it over to the sink but Luke did it for me, which kind of made me mad.

"I have legs you know?" I stated standing up pulling down my shirt that had been riding up a bit.

"I know" he replied with a small smirk "but I like making you mad"

I crossed my arms over my chest "Why's that?"

"Because you look cute when you're mad"

That made me blush bright red but I quickly looked down so he wouldn't notice.

"Now you're blushing, score!"

I rolled my eyes and lifted my head back up.

He was staring at me. I don't know why but he was.

"Stop it!" I exclaimed covering my face, he then took out his mobile and started pointing it at me.

I wish I had a mobile just so I could do the same thing but I broke it. I know, shocker that I'm 17 and don't have a mobile but I don't.

I actually don't even need one, so why would I have something I don't need?

"You are so lucky I don't have a mobile!"

He put his phone and looked at me like I was crazy "You don't have a phone?"

I shook my head "Don't need one"

"You are...something else"

I know.

I smiled "Good something else, or bad?"

"Obviously good" he smiled back and looked at me in this weird way.

"Why do you look at me like that?" I questioned

He tilted his head to the side slightly "Like what?"

"Like...like there's nobody else in the world"

"When I see you that's how I feel"

That made me speechless because I didn't expect him to even want to talk to me after what happened, I know I wouldn't.

Luckily, Annie walking in made the subject change. She still doesn't know what I did because she was on some kind of business trip.

"I'm back!!!" she exclaimed giving me a big hug, almost squeezing me to death.

"I'm glad you're back!" She let me go and went over to Luke.

I smiled as she gave him a hug like she just gave me.

If I had a brother or sister, maybe I wouldn't be this messed up. But I guess everyone is messed up either way.

"Let's have dinner!"

That made me snap out of my thoughts and look at her.

"Annie, how about you go get some rest first and then we can" Luke suggested

"Okay" she gave him a small peck on the cheek before headed up the stairs to her room leaving just Luke and I alone again.

"So.." Luke cleared his throat "you want to get some ice cream?"

I was about to say no but then decided that I actually wanted ice cream. I don't think I have actually had some since I was like 10.

"Sure, just let me just check my blood pressure"

"I can do it" he said "if you...want"

"Sure" I said once again and sat down.

Luke reached in a cabinet and pulled out the little monitor before he sat in front of me, taking my arm.

He slowly put the cuff in place making me wince because he touched one of my cuts.

"Sorry" he apologized and pressed a button on the monitor making it get tight.

"119/79" he told me after it stopped beeping "it's under 120/80 so it's good"
