"Why does school have to suck?" Luke complained and sat down next to me at the lunch table.

Alot of people in my classes looked at me and I hate being looked at. Some, even tried to talk to me but I didn't say a word.

"I don't know" I replied as I fiddled with the cap of my drink not wanting to go to Gym.

"What's wrong with you?" he asked giving me a worried look.

"Nothing" I told him honestly "just ready to leave"

"Me too" he agreed "wait, what do you have next?"

"Gym"

"Oh sweet because I do too!" he exclaimed "We can just go out the back door when it's over"

I nodded just as some guy that I think is in my Math class, sat in front of us.

"Um can I help you?" Luke said to him but he ignored him and looked at me.

"How are you Lake?" he questioned making me hold back not rolling my eyes.

"I'm good I guess" I mumbled back

"Well good" he smiled "I was wondering if you wanted to..."

I cut him off "Em... I'm dating Luke"

I grabbed Luke's hand that was resting on the table.

"Oh um.. sorry" he blushed bright red before hurrying off.

"Now I didn't know we were dating" Luke smiled at our hands.

I bit my lip and was going to say something but a loud ass bell rung.

Gym is the dumbest thing in the world!

I expected to just sit and talk but no we had to play volleyball.

I was coming out of the locker room when someone pushed me into a corner making me hit my head on the brick wall.

"Ow!" I exclaimed holding the spot, I looked up and it was that stupid guy from early.

"Why are you wearing all those clothes?" he asked, his breath was hot on my face

I rolled my eyes and shoved him away from me "Because I want too"

I walked out the door that had an 'Exit' sign above it and found Luke sitting aganist the wall with a lit cigarette between his fingers.

He smokes?

"Hey" I said keeping my distances.

"Oh hey" he smiled and put it out.

I don't even think he took a drag of it.

He pulled himself up and slung his book bag over his right shoulder.

"Let's get out of here!" I exclaimed and pulled him towards his car.

He chuckled and walked faster.

I would run but I don't like running.

We got to his car and I quickly got in but he didn't.

He just stood there staring at me.

"Get it!" I yelled but he just continued to stand there.

I got out of the car and made my way over to him.

"Dude.." I got cut off by him putting his lips to mine.

I kissed him back and pulled away, confused.

"Thank you" he said, grabbing my face.

"For what?" I questioned

"For saving me from smoking" he exclaimed "I used to smoke a pack a day before you came. I haven't picked up a cigarette since, well until now but I didn't smoke it... I didn't smoke it"
