"Leave it alone!" she said,
"Don't touch it!" she yelled.
Her tears staining her cheeks,
Salty and warm,
Like diamond glinting in the moonlight.
Her blue eyes looked like the ocean,
As they brim with echoes of pain.
"You're a monster! You break everything you touch!"
Sobbing, she slid down to her knees,
Hugging herself tightly.
Her fair hair wrapping around her like a curtain of silver.
"You've broken it enough, that it's just dust settling in my skin."
"Just go. Leave. And don't look back."
"Just leave my heart alone."
Thus, ends the story of the broken-hearted.
