To my human,

I have seen you shed tears,
As I lay beside you and lick the salty liquid away.
I have heard your heart wrecking sobs,
As I nuzzle your cheeks to calm you down.
I know I cannot speak your language,
But all I can do is be there for you.
Be beside you as you face these problems.
All I can do is offer my warmth.
And when you hug me for comfort and tell me everything that has hurt you,
All I want to do is bite those who did so.
My human is precious to me,
And I would do anything to keep you safe.

From,
Your doggo.
