Also 9K reads??? Wtf??? Thank you so much!

I was wrong about that couple. They had remembered my face. I knew because ten minutes after I got off the bus that after far too long had arrived at Tulsa I was arrested. I'd been handcuffed and shoved into a police cruiser when the cop finally decided to tell me what I was being arrested for.

"Theft."

"I didn't do anything." I denied.

"That's what they always say." The cop retorted, his grin glowing.

He threw me into the holding cell once we arrived because he had to gather the paperwork he'd explained. I screamed an insult at him as he walked away. Fuck, I should've been more careful. I turned to look at the other 'criminals' I'd been stuck with. There was an old man asleep against one side of the holding cell, two rough looking teenagers who had their hair slicked back and surprisingly a rich looking kid. There wasn't a thing wrong with his appearance, judging by the confident smirk on his face daddy was on his way to bail him out. The last person sitting in the far corner of the cell was a tall guy with his head down, then he looked up and I could see his elfish features, his cruel eyes and his soft un-greased hair. My words caught in my throat and he spoke, beating me to the same question.

"Alesia?" Dallas' cheeky smile returned to his face. God, I'd missed it.

"Dallas?" I responded.

"Sure is baby." He looked me up and down, I opened my mouth to call him out on it when I figured I was doing the same thing. He'd grown a lot since I last saw him, he was my height when I'd seen him last if not shorter, now even without him standing I could tell he would tower over me. His muscles had defined over time and his face has seemingly gotten harder, his eyes were as cold and as beautiful as ever.

I gingerly sat beside him. He grinned at me and my stomach erupted with butterflies like it had so many times before when he smiled at me.

"It's been a while gorgeous." He smirked.

"Yeah." I breathed, unable to form words because god damn I'd been waiting over a year to see Dallas again and it was finally happening. "How have you been?"

"Haven't changed, still a lowlife delinquent." He answered, quoting one of the supervisors from the reformatory.

"What a surprise." I said sarcastically.

"What are you in for then?" Dallas asked, god his voice had gotten deep and I loved it.

"Theft." I replied. "You?"

"Fighting."

"Same old Dallas Winston." I grinned teasingly. The next hour passed just like that, us talking about what had happened since Dallas left New York, him telling me stories of Tulsa and his friends here. I asked anything to keep him talking since it had been so long since I'd heard his voice and I never wanted him to stop talking.

"So why are you in Tulsa?" He finally asked.

My face heated up as I turned away and mumbled, "You'll think I'm pathetic."

"Never! If I remember correctly when we first met it was because you'd gotten caught setting a building on fire, I'd just gotten into a gang fight. You're pretty badass Alesia."

"I came to see you." Saying it out loud sounded as ridiculous as I though it would so I quickly added, "And to get away from my parents."

"I'm glad you did then." He replied grinning.
