"Don't go too far.. Not with the group gone right now." Shane said softly to me. I nodded. "Yeah yeah, whatever... I'm going with Dixon." I walked over, grabbing my bow and ignoring the smirk on Daryl's face, going straight to the woods. "Be careful!" He called, but I didn't pay too much attention. I walked through, searching for much of anything to hunt. I pulled up my bow when I saw a fairly large, black squirrel. I let the arrow slide through my fingers, flying through the air straight to the squirrel's head. It fell to the ground and I picked it up, attaching it to my belt right next to my knives. Daryl walked next to me, careful not to make a sound. "So, how ya liking the group now?" He smirked, knowing I have hated the group since the highway. I glared daggers, then rolled my eyes at him. "Still wanting to leave?" He asked a bit quieter. I looked over, and he now stared at the ground. I sighed. "I'm not leavin... Not right now, anyway." He nodded a bit, then looked back up. I looked as he saw a buck in the distance. I was going to aim, but he took the shot instead. We started towards the buck, but a bunch of brain dead bastards came at us. I tried to shoot as many as possible, and speaking that there were only about 6 of them, it wasn't too hard to do. I looked as the bodies sprawled across the forest floor, and Daryl looked at me. "Ya okay?" I slowly nodded, then sighed. "Bet you that deer will be bastard bait in the next 0.2 seconds if we don't hurry." We both began back towards the camp, back towards the deer. When we got there, I let out a growl in disapointment. Shane, along with some other man, both had knocked the creeper off of our deer. "God damn it!" I growled, kicking it's body. I looked over, seeing the still snapping head on the ground. "Don't y'all know nothin? Shot to the head." I ripped the weapon out of the green eyed man's hands, crashing it down onto the geek's head. "Dumb ass." I mumbled tossing the weapon back. I hadn't payed any attention to anyone else, but looked at Shane. "Who the hell is this?" He sighed. "This is Rick. Rick Grimes.." I scoffed a bit, then smirked, knowing I should have seen the resemblance between him and Carl already. "Back from the dead, huh? Where you been? Pretty sure feeding your boy wasn't on your priority list where ever it was, huh?" He gulped. "I was in a coma..." I slowly nodded, already knowing the story, but I honestly didn't care. "Rick, Kat here is who you should be thanking for protecting Carl.. She's put her ass on the line a lot more than I have.." He said, looking down because he knew it was true. "Than-" "Don't..." Was all I said as I walked back to the camp. I looked around, then looked at Dale. "Where's Dixon 1?" I asked. He gulped a bit, and T-Dog stood up. Daryl came behind me, obviously just as frusterated that he couldn't find his brother. "He... Uh..."

"YOU LEFT HIM!!!! YA FUCKIN PRICKS I AUTA TAKE THIS HERE ARROW AND PUT IT STRAIGHT IN YOUR DAMN SKULL YOU NO GOOD PIECE OF SHIT!" I screamed at the man in the sheriff outfit once they had finished. Shane held me back, trying his hardest to keep me calm, but he also was trying to control Daryl. I struggled, until they finally handed me over to Dale and T-Dog while Shane and Rick held Daryl. Little did sheriff know, I know how to fight. I threw my elbow up, hitting T-Dog in the nose. I pushed him to the ground, and Dale automatically surrendered, putting his hands up. "Don't ya get too close, T." I growled at him. He gulped, nodding and I turned. Before I could hit Rick, Shane had his arms around me, holding me as tight as he could. "We're going to talk this over, okay?" Rick said calmly. How could that bastard be calm? I'm bout ready to kill this fucker. "On the count of three, Shane's going to let go.. Daryl has calmed down, he's waiting for us to leave... Would you like to come or stay? 1.... 2.... 3...." Shane released me, but before I could get in sheriff's face, Sofia had my leg. "Don't hurt him Kit Kat!" She yelled. I looked down, feeling the rage wash out of me. "Sheriff Grimes..." He looked at me, and I narrowed my eyes at him. "I had a lot more respect for you when you were dead.. You go get him... If it takes your life, well we can obviously do without." And with that, I walked away from the sheriff.

Carl hadn't spoken a word to me since his father left. I figured he was angry with me, but oh well.. "Kat, come frog hunting with Carl and me... He thinks you're mad at him." I huffed out a laugh. "Why would I be mad at him?" "Because of Rick." I shrugged. "Whatever.. I'll be out there in a minute." I took off my weapons, all except a couple knives, then walked over to the lake. Carl smiled a sad smile at me, and I smiled back. "Hey kid. You ever caught a frog before?" He nodded a bit. "Only one that was in my front yard." I laughed a bit, nodding. "Well, aint too much different. Shane will show ya, won't ya Shane?" They started more messing around then catching frogs, and I rolled my eyes, still smiling at them. I can't say I always agree with Shane, but one thing is for sure, he's good with Carl. "While y'all do... That, I'm gonna go really catch some frogs." I said, taking a bucket and walking more towards the shore, where frogs really would be. I automatically saw one in the lake, and I slowly set down the bucket. I made sure I had the top to it, then grab the frog quickly, barely making a sound as I did, except for the small splashing noise. I tossed it in the bucket, shutting the lid before it could get out. I began catching more, when Carl came over. "Hey Kat... Mom said to come help you while she talked to Shane." I looked over, seeing the two in what seemed to be a very heated argument. Well, it was no surprise to anyone that they had been a couple, and, well, Rick being here probably wasn't good for that. I sighed, showing Carl how to catch frogs much easier than Shane, and he was still laughing. "You know, Kat... You're really protective.." I looked over at him, squinting my eyes a bit. "What do you mean?" "I mean you didn't even like Merle that much... Yet you still wanted to protect him, because you don't know my dad, but you know him.." I slowly nodded a bit. "I protect who I think I need to.." I said quietly. Lori stormed away from Shane, and I threw my head, signaling for Carl to go with her. He nodded, running to her side. I looked over towards the women, then saw that they were arguing with Ed. I groaned, begining to go see what the hell they were doing, when I watched Ed's hand strike down onto Carol's face.
