It felt like the whole world stopped. I swallowed the lump forming at the back of my throat while waiting for Wenjun's dare. Seconds felt like an agonizing year until he started to talk.
"I dare you to call Y/N's mom and pretend you're his boyfriend," Wenjun smirked.
Your eyes and mine widened in surprise. I could hear the guys cheering including Suyin. The dare didn't seem to sink in until she grabbed your phone and dialed your mom's number.
"Hello?"
Suyin turned the speaker on before giving it to me. I could feel my palms sweating as I hesitantly grabbed the phone.
"Uhm h-hi, g-good evening m-ma'am," I greeted politely. Fuck it! I'm a stuttering mess.
"Oh? You're not Y/N. Why do you have her phone?" your mother asked.
"Ijustwantedtosayimyourdaughter'sboyfriend," I replied too quickly. I could hear their snickers. I glared at them especially to Wenjun. If looks could kill, I swear he'll be six feet below the ground by now.
"I'm sorry what? " your mother asked again.
"I just wanted to say that I'm your daughter's boyfriend ma'am," I said.
"Oh really? Is my daughter with you right now? Can I talk to her?"
You mouthed to me to tell her you're busy with something, so I did.
"Okay. But why on the phone though? It would be better if you tell it to me in person dear. But oh well , if that's the case then okay. I'll talk to Y/N later. Good night dear," and with that she dropped the call.
As soon as the call ended, they went wild. Most of them shouting. You just sat there awkwardly while Suyin's slapping your shoulder.
"You motherfucker!" I shouted at him while tackling him on the ground. He just laughed his ass off.
A/N: Okay can we just appreciate our lil ah jing for a while. I'm so glad he made it to the top 9 and I hope it'll stay until the finals. I'm so sad Zuo Ye didn't make it though :( I just watched ep 8 last Tuesday and I still can't get over it. I'm a sobbing mess wth
