I stumbled into a clearing, my heart pounding in my chest. I closed my eyes, letting myself break for the first time in ages. Tears filled my eyes, and I tried to hold back a sob. I had no idea where I was, but I didn't care.

I had no idea why he became so gentle with me at that moment. It was like he had thought me of some sort of doll, made of precious glass and needed to be protected. He showed me the real him and not the monster that he let people see.

I opened my eyes when I heard a snuffling and growling sound and lifted my head from the ground. My brain froze as I saw a large bear in front of me with tusks made of thick bone. I've had seen these before and fought one but not in my current state. "Worber," I whispered, softly, and watched as the best lifted his head and sniffed around.

His beady eyes landed on me, and he let out a powerful growl. He could tell that I had killed one of his kind by the fact that my skin had been stained with their blood. Only they could tell that my hands were stained, and it gave them an indication that I was a threat.

I picked myself and ignored the black dots that were appearing in my vision. My breathing was labored, and I knew that I was not in a position to fight him. However, I knew that I was going to have to and prayed that my body would hold out until he was dead.

The Worber growled and started to stalk me. His whole body swung back and forth as he started to charge at me, growling every so often. Hatred filled his beady eye, and I knew that he was wanting me to die.

I waited until the almost last minute before dodging his attack. I leapt up onto my feet and looked around, trying to find something that I could use as a weapon. I knew where to stab the Worber to kill it, but I needed something that would be able to penetrate his hard hind.

The Worber snarled and stood up his hind legs, showing me that he was a threat. He roared loudly, signaling his dissatisfaction and causing a whole flock of birds to leave the safety of the trees. He snarled and swiped at some that crossed paths with him before he finally landed on his feet. He snarled, showing teeth red from the birds before he charged at me again.

I dodged the attack and fell to my hands and feet. I twisted my body around and tried to stand but couldn't. Shit, I thought as I backed away from the Worber. My heart pounded in my chest faster than it had been, and I was struggling to breathe.

The Worber seemed to know that I was struggling and stalked towards me. He curled his lip as if he was smiling, and that started to make my heart beat faster.

My hands found a stick that I hoped would work and broke an end of it. I still backed away from the Worber, making sure that it couldn't sense my plan. I felt the bark of a tree behind me and waited stayed quiet.

The Worber roared in triumph and charged at me. He didn't care that there was a tree behind me because he knew that he would be able to reach me. He swung his head to the side before lashing his tusks towards me.

Searing pain filled my body as I was lifted away from the tree and fell to the ground with a thud I still had the stick in my hand and waited until he came closer, going on top of me. I could smell the blood coming off of him in waves, and I couldn't help but feel sicker than I had been.

The Worber placed his paws on my shoulders and pushed down, crushing the bone. He roared in my face, the smell of blood stronger than before. He was about to go for the kill but fell on me instead, his brown and black fur getting into my mouth and starting to suffocating me.

I had stabbed him in the underside of his belly near his heart. I had no idea how I was able to do it, but I knew that it might have been too late. I knew that the Worber was dead, but in the end, I knew that he had killed me too.

The black spots that had been at the back of my mind took over, and I fell into a dark abyss. I could hear someone calling my name, but I didn't care as I fell farther and farther to sleep.

I was still alive. I knew that I was because my whole body was aware of the place I was at. I knew that I was in some sort of hospital building, but I had no idea where.

"How is she?" I heard a male, maybe Xavier, asked someone.

"Better," a female replied. "Her heart hasn't stopped again. She has more fluids and stuff in her body."

"The baby?" Xavier asked.

Baby? What baby?

"The baby is alive, too," the doctor replied. "He is a strong fighter. He survived with what little food and drink that she was given."

"Good," Xavier grunted. He paused. "Will she remember everything?"

"I am sure that she will. She hadn't had that much swelling in her brain. We just need to make sure that she does eat and drink. We are going to have to introduce food to her again, slowly."

"He has fucked her up big time, didn't he?"

"Yes, Alpha," she said. "He has fucked her up big time. But, she is a fighter. She will survive this."

And after that, everything turned black as I became unaware of my surroundings.
