"Morning," I said, walking into the kitchen after training. I smiled at Cossette as she made some bread, the smell making me not want to puke any longer.

"You're late," Cossette said, from where she was making another loaf of bread. "They start training in thirty minutes."

"I know," I said, taking my seat where I normally sat after my training workouts. "I wanted to push myself a little harder today."

"You do that every day," she said, causing me to shrug my shoulder. "One of these days you will push yourself too hard and hurt yourself." She placed down her loaf of bread and went to get my drink. Her whole body was more tense than usual, causing me to wonder if Xavier was nearby.

"Is he here?" I asked as she brought me the drink that I was supposed to be drinking after each workout. "The Alpha?" My voice was soft, and I prayed that Cosette would only hear it.

Cosette subtly nodded her head. She flicked her gaze to the kitchen pantry, and I was sure that he was in there. "Did you fall out of a tree?" she asked, changing the subject.

I looked down and nodded my head with a blush forming on my cheeks. "I am trying to relearn the skills that I have been taught," I explained. "One skill is to move in the trees and figure out which branch would support me or not. I... miscalculated as to how much I weighed, and it broke."

"Did you hurt yourself?"

I shook my head. "A couple of scratches but nothing too serious to go see Dr. Trent."

"That is the same thing you said when you dislocated your hip," Justin said, walking into the kitchen followed by Julian. "And not something that I want to hear."

"You both are late," I said, causing them to shrug their shoulder. "What did you do last night?"

Justin sat down beside me and placed a slobbery kiss on my cheek, leaving a trail of spit on my cheeks as he pulled away.

"Justin," I complained, grabbing his shirt and using it to wipe off his slobber. "Disgusting."

Justin chuckled as Julian did the same to me. "We were playing video games and wrestling," he said as I wiped my other cheek on his brother's shirt. "We almost broke stuff."

I shook my head and moved a hand across my face. "You two are stupid," I said.

"Not as stupid as a certain Alpha who is hiding in the pantry with a baby," Julian said, causing me to kick him in the shin hard. "Oow, Assie," he complained, clutching his leg as he fell to the ground. "What was for?"

"She was trying to see how long he would stay in the pantry," Justin said. "I am surprised that Bryson was so quiet when his mother was so loud."

I rolled my eyes as Xavier walked out of the pantry and moved towards us. I could feel his gaze on me but didn't look at him. "Are you talking about the time where we were trying to scare the cook?" I asked.

"Yes," he said, nodding his head.

"It was Julian's fault," I said. "He started to take off the twist ties and put them in my hair, and then someone decided to put peanut butter in my hair."

"I did that," Justin said. "I think that Commander hated us because you smelt like peanut butter for a week."

"He did," I said. "Commander hates the smell of peanut butter."

"Commander?" Cossette asked, sounding rather confused. "What do you mean by "Commander"?"

"He is the person that trains the Guardsmen," Justin said, causing me to nod my head. "He is also sort of the advisor for my dad..." He looked at me, probably wondering if I could be able to explain who he was better than him without giving away too much information.

"He's not the advisor to him, but he does advise him on what to do with the Guardsmen," I said. "Like who they should fight or where they should go. I think he was actually the one that decided to take me under his wing after my uncle asked the King to take me in."

"Ah," Cossette said, nodding her head. "Drink up," she said. "We don't want Dr. Trent to get mad at us."

I shrugged my shoulder and watched as Julian moved to Justin's side as Xavier sat down next to me. I offered him a hesitant smile, knowing full well that he was going to have questions for me.

"What is this?" Xavier asked, gesturing to the drink. "And why are you drinking it?"

"It's to help build muscle mass, Alpha," Dr. Trent said, walking into the kitchen, holding some paperwork. "She is... wanting to go over some stuff with you that she has been anxiously babbling her head off to Justin, Julian, and myself."

Justin snorted. "Babbling is an understatement," he muttered, causing me to glare at him. He held up a finger, his lips curving into a smile. "If you kick me, Cassandra Marie," he warned. "I will put more peanut butter in your hair."

"Do you want pink hair again?" I asked, narrowing my eyes. "I will call Sergio and have him bring me some long lasting stuff this time."

"Who is Sergio?" Xavier asked, sounding a bit jealous. He set his jaw, causing me to look at my "brothers."

"Sergio is our weapons design person," Justin said. "He is an old man, so you have nothing to worry about."

"He has a mate," I said, causing him to nod his head. I cleared my throat and licked my lips. "But... I've been wondering if I could be part of the pack but as a Warrior." I didn't look at him, not really wanting to see what he was thinking. "Instead of an Omega."

My son squealed and reached for me. He smiled at me when I picked him up and placed him in my lap. He looked around the area before reaching over to be with Justin.

Justin's whole face lit up as he took my son from me. "His first words are going to be Justin, I just know it," he said. "What are you doing, Little Man?" he cooed, causing me to roll my eyes. "Aren't you a happy baby." He swatted his brother's hands when he reached for him. "Stop, the baby had chosen me, so leave him alone."

"Don't hurt my son," I said, causing them both to look at me, blink, before turning their attention back to him. I looked at Xavier when he placed his hand over mine and stared into his blue eyes. My face turned slightly red as I looked at him, and I couldn't help but blush.

"Why haven't you told me that you wanted to be a Warrior?" he asked, softly. "Is that why you have been sneaking out so early in the mornings?"

My face turned slightly red, and I nodded my head. "Yes," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "And... I was nervous that you wouldn't allow me to become one," I said, looking away from him. I was nervous that he wouldn't trust me with the position. I knew how some Alphas could be with "Rogues" or those that were born from different packs but transferred over.

"There are a series of tests," he warned. "The main test is to face off Warriors as different skill levels. Are you sure that you want to do that?"

I nodded my head, my heart starting to beat a little faster in anticipation. I really wanted to train again and to become a better fighter. I wanted to find a way to find a new me, and I was hoping that I would be able to find one in this pack.

"It'll help her gain her confidence back, Alpha," Dr. Trent said. He looked through his paperwork and then looked at Xavier. "I want to do a couple of more tests with her, but I think that she will be ready to face whoever when the time comes, even if she doesn't have a wolf."

Xavier squeezed my hand, causing me to look at him. His deep blue eyes were filled with worry, and I knew that he was worried that I wouldn't be strong enough to face them all. "Are you sure?" he asked, causing me to nod my head. He nodded his head. "Then you have three days," he said. "You have three days to train and get ready, and then on the third day, we'll go through the tests. Is that ok?"

I nodded my head and smiled, a wave of relief washing over me. "Thank you," I whispered, squeezing his hand. "Thank you for trusting me to become a Warrior."
