Outsider
It feels like I'm stuck outside the party
Without a jacket
Hair wet
Everyone inside
Laughing
Loving life
Not paying attention to my cries for help
No one letting me in
Like I'm the ONLY one left out of an inside joke
That's constantly brought up
I just laugh along
Pretending to know
Fingers freezing up as I pound against windows
Doors
Walls
Anything
Screaming to be let in.
They won't acknowledge my existence
All walking away
Trying to FINALLY get rid of 'that' girl
Please don't be like them
Let me in
Tell me the insiders secrets
Don't leave
Not like they all did
I don't think I could take being out here any longer
Being the outsider is draining
You don't even have to bring me in
At this point
Just listen
Bring a blanket
Tell another joke
Listen.
And please...
Don't leave
