*beep beep beep* my alarm beep obnoxiously. I barely got any sleep last night.

I slam my hand down onto clock and there's a loud crash.

I slowly open my eyes and see that I broke not only my alarm clock but also my nightstand. "Oops." I mumble but shrug it off.

It's not like this is the first time, I've been getting stronger recently and my furniture is paying the price.

I throw my blanket on the floor and roll out of bed. After I get ready I go downstairs to the kitchen.

I'm actually surprised when I don't smell food. Rebel normally makes a huge breakfast just because she likes cooking. Maybe it has to do with Emma and Grayson.

We have not told them about Rebel and the whole siren situation but they know somethings up. It's like they're not mad but just disappointed and we all know that's way worse.

Rebel has been stressed lately and she also developed a nasty sleepwalking habit.

"Are you okay?" I ask Rebel as I enter the kitchen. Her long blond hair lays all over the table.

She lifts her head off the table. "I'm fine..." she mumble and rests her head on her hand. Her skin is paler than usual and her nose is bright red.

"Did you have enough water?" I ask. Rebel nods tiredly.

"Enough sleep?"

"Never." She mumbles. "It's probably nothing. Lets go to school." Rebel suggest and grabs her bag off the ground.

My eyes widen as I get a good look at her outfit. Rebel always wear the cutes outfits even on a day off but now she's dressed in a pair of sweatpants and a plain tank top.

It's not nothing.

I tap my pencil anxiously against my notebook. The signs written in this book don't make any sense to me, not even with the translation Rebel gave me.

We went back to the Free moon pack house about two weeks ago. Rebel insisted on showing me something I missed while I was sleeping. She revealed a secret bookcase with a dozen of books all about sirens and other sea creatures.

Alex, Axel, Elena and Mika have been helping us a lot with everything. Mika even pulled the fire alarm when Rebel tripped over a bucket with water.

There has to be something about diseases in here, I'm sure of it. I look at the translation again but that doesn't help me understand it better.

I made myself and Rebel a promise the day of the attack. I was going to protect her, always. I'm not going to lose her like I lost the rest of my family.

This whole siren thing made everything so much more complicated. How am I suppose to protect her from something I don't know understand?

"Miss Woods!" My teacher suddenly shouts. I look up at him with an annoyed expression, I hate him so much. He hates me as well that's why he always picks on me.
