Ray's POV

It has been two weeks since we captured Arabella. And this has been the longest two weeks of my live.

Arabella may look like Wendy so I was prepared for a struggle but I didn't see this coming.

Two weeks and not a moment of rest.

The first days weren't that bad. While we were taking her blood she was very weak and didn't struggle as much. But after we had enough blood she started trying to escape every time someone entered her room.

I placed my best man in front of her door. They are very well trained but couldn't keep a sixteen year old in a room.

We had to replace her to four other rooms until she ended up in mine with me at her side the whole time.

She is driving me insane. Every time it is finally quiet she starts tapping her fingers or feet. She's never quiet, always talking, singing or making kind noise. Even when she's sleeping she rolls around, walks and talks but she doesn't sleep as much as she should.

Of course you can be without your mate for sometime but they have just kind of exacted each other so they need one another. Their wolves are restless and because of the conditions Arabella is in Ryder and his wolf are on the edge all the time.

It's not entirely her fault. Two weeks without her mate, her wolf and a proper swim in salt water makes her restless.

She can't hear her wolf or change into her wolf form because she's wearing black wolf crystal. You have black and white wolf crystal, white makes your wolf stronger and black weakens them.

I look up from my laptop and see Arabella sitting on my bed. She's humming a song I've never heard before and drawing in the sketchbook I got for her.

Her blond hair is tied up in a messy bun the purple dress she's wearing is the only thing we had that fits her.

She looks so much like her sister. Seeing Arabella brings back many memories.

"Ray! Give that back!" Wendy yells while she gets up from her laying position and tries to grab the remote for my hand. My arms feel empty without holding her but she's still close enough to feel her warmth.

When you're a hybrid you get parts of each being. From my werewolf side I got the ability to turn and my high senses. From the vampire side I got the speed but unfortunately also the part that I have to be invited into a house and no body warmth of my own.

"You know I hate horror movies, I don't want to watch this" she whines and gives me the puppy eyes.

"But it's not real, and I will protect you" I say with a smirk. She smiles, leans forward and gives me a short kiss on the lips. Without noticing she grasp the remote and changes the channel.
