TITLE → Atlas

OC'S NAME →Cassandra Jones

LOVE INTEREST →Peter Parker

TIMELINE → Pre Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man: Homecoming*

CASSANDRA JONES didn't have a choice when she had to move in with her father and his family. After her mother had been killed during action when Hydra rose within the S.H.I.E.L.D. ranks, Cassandra had to move in with her father she only saw when she wanted to instead of the court-settled agreement. After all, he had an entire other family, he didn't need the daughter from a "break" in his marriage.

With the loss of the most important person in her life still sharp on the young teenager, she had to settle into an entirely different life with people she didn't know all that well. Her father, his wife Delilah, their daughter Michelle, and an entirely different city.

She felt out of place in Queens, like a bystander in what was supposedly her own home. Cassandra was enrolled into Midtown School of Science and Technology on behalf of her father, a wealthy man who made many donations. She was seen as the half-sister no one knew about who bought her way into a fancy school like Midtown instead of the teen who didn't want to be there and wanted her old friends and life back.

After she fell vastly behind in her grades, her mother's death and her great change of life still heavy on her, Peter Parker had to tutor her. He didn't seem very eager either. But, Cassandra's father was paying him, so the Parker boy jumped at the chance of extra money.

But Cassandra had been raised by her mother, a long-time S.H.I.E.L.D. employee in a family full of them, she learned more than just excellent self-defense and how to lie without showing a single sign of it. She could read Peter Parker like a book, and it was clear he was hiding something from every single person he met, something that weighed heavy on his shoulders.

Cassandra didn't know what that could possibly be, but she knew it was there, and he knew hers was, too.

They were both an Atlas in a world that kept pushing more of the sky onto them, telling them to keep holding the weight and not to speak a word of how it felt.

EXTRA.

→ cassandra is from a long line of s.h.i.e.l.d agents, meaning s.h.i.e.l.d. is very important to her, and that she was trained and taught from a young age.

→ though her mother does die in 2014, you can choose when it starts in that period between then and 2016 (civil war). just let it be noted that in 2014, peter is 13. but, please include flashbacks of the day and days surrounding her mother's death, because those are important.

→ cassandra doesn't just "get over" her mother's death. her mother's death is a very important moment in her life when she had to stop being a kid and become an adult when she shouldn't have had to. an important part of her character is that she sees things constantly that remind her of her mother.

→ cassandra and her father have a rocky relationship. she didn't want to spend time with him due to him having another family, which made her feel like she'd just make things weird. plus, when she happened, it was during a break while he and his wife were dating, making things very awkward between cassandra and her step-mom. though it was a court-order than she spend every other week at her father's, he didn't force her to, meaning she spent most of her time at her mother's.

→ her relationship with michelle isn't peachy, and it shouldn't be. michelle is only a year younger than her, which shows cassandra wasn't planned (or, as cassandra thinks, a complete mistake). michelle knows cassandra caused lots of issues in her family and her parent's marriage, so she's bitter about that. and, don't make michelle a stone-cold bitch, it's perfectly reasonable to not like cassandra.

→ cassandra's father tries his best, but he isn't exactly the perfect father figure. don't make him perfect, like the best dad in the world, but show that he tries very hard to show cassandra that he cares and he tries for her, but cassandra just sees it as him wanting to fake care.

→ cassandra and peter don't immediately click. their relationship is funky. he mainly just wants cash, and she just wants it to be over with. but she sees that he's struggling, so something within her wants to help him. so, they each make a friend.

→ the 'friend' part is very important. it's obvious peter's only friend is ned. and since cassandra moved, all her old friends are back in new york city, and they grew very distant since her mother's death. that's very important, so please include it!

→ cassandra wants to be a s.h.i.e.l.d. agents when she's old enough. that's also very important and cannot be changed.
