LARK CARVER was just trying to survive in a shitty world that screwed everyone over ten times over. When a woman - who she soon learned was Michonne - offered her asylum in a prison turned into a home for many, Lark decided it was time to get some rest for once that didn't end in horrors by her doors.
Then, like the world seemed to be then, the good things came to an end abruptldy and she was thrown into a world of confusion and chaos with the group at the prison.
She didn't know who she was at the prison, whether she was just the new, guarded woman, someone expendable - but it didn't matter, because everyone had one common thing that connected them all: the need to survive.

→ she's very reluctant to trust people, and doesn't like rick (she thinks his morals are in the wrong places). if you continued onward, she would start to warm up to him after the prison and towards alexandria.
