VALERIA "VAL" THOMAS had been best friends with Lucas Sinclair since they were in diapers. Val and her group of friends merged with the so-called losers of the school, banding together to find the youngest Byers boy with the help of the girl named Eleven.
Nothing would tear apart Val Thomas and Lucas Sinclair, not even an evil being from another universe that preyed on children.

→ val and lucas have been friends since birth! they're really close, and while they aren't as close as they used to be, they still see each other nearly every day whether or not they talk, since they're next-door neighbors. lucas doesn't like her friends too much, he thinks they're too "girly." val has a younger sister, luci (short for lucia), who is best friends with erica! they're two peas in a pod, which doesn't change over the seasons (aka: the two are partners in crime). her little sister is played by ariana greenblatt!
