PERCY JACKSON was a bit of a disaster. Okay, he was an entire disaster, but he was trying his best to be less of a "garbage fire" as his friend Leo preferred to put it.
But, despite being a complete disaster, he was trying his best. Going to a demigod-certified therapist, regularly exercising in a probably-not-healthy amount, played with his little sister, went to the grocery store and bought questionably healthy food—and accidentally attacked a sleeping beast.
And not the kind of sleeping beast he liked, the kind that went down due to a couple rage-filled teens with swords. This was the kind that had been building their army for much longer than he'd been alive, been planning their takeover for much longer than he'd been the one to defeat Kronos.
Unfortunately, his mother said he had to stop attacking everything that moved even if it could probably kill him. She said he needed to get his life in order—more than he was already doing, because apparently he wasn't doing "well" well enough.
He had a great-great uncle on his mother's side (because, clearly, his father didn't have a great uncle to currently see), who was somehow still alive due to said sleeping beast, and that great-great uncle was a probable Avenger and former assassin. He had to stay with that former-assassin-Avenger so he wasn't randomly sniped while buying celery because according to his therapist apparently that was healthy.
Percy's life was a complete disaster—but he was trying.
And then Tony Stark's kind-of sidekick shows up and Percy's life became even more of a disaster because after a monumental relationship he was choosing go after some dorky teen who stuck to walls.
Okay, his life was a garbage fire.

EXTRA.
→ Percy and Annabeth broke up shortly after the war with Gaea ended. Good terms, though, they're still friends! But Percy still isn't too eager for more relationships because his "one and only" wasn't that.
→ Percy is sixteen, a year older than peter. (Though I think that'd make him seventeen by the end of the book? Idk.)
→ Reece King is the faceclaim I chose, though you don't have to use him. I just think he fits Percy's overall personality really well. When I originally wrote this book, I also used other faceclaims that I'll list, but you by no means have to use those. Annabeth: Rose Bertram. Piper: Indya Marie. Jason: Froy Gutierrez.
→ Bucky is Percy's great-great uncle! Percy knew he existed and that his mother (at one point) had contact with him, but didn't know what happened after Bucky shacked up with the Avengers. How Sally goes about everything is entirely up to you, it's just important that Percy's never met Bucky nor is close to him, since I don't want it to be too cliche.
