<Hazel's>
As soon as we got back, I was bombarded with questions, most of which I couldn't answer.
"Why does he want you dead?" Was a popular one asked by all of them at some point throughout the time we got back and now.
"I don't know. He didn't ever say. He didn't speak much on why." I say for the thousandth time, sending Jason a helpless glance out of the corner of my eye.
"How didn't you get anything?"
"You didn't overhear anything?"
"Maybe you just didn't catch what he said."
"I shouldn't have sent you. You are not trained to handle emotional issues and still work effectively." Batman mumbles over the other voices shooting around me despite the fact that his low voice makes it harder to hear.
"Give her a break; like you said she wasn't trained to sit every time you whistle." Jason snaps, his hand running through his hair making the white streak fall lazily over his eyes, "Her dad wasn't giving anything away. At least not yet. She can try again later, but I doubt he will talk now."
"Ok. So no answers today..." Dick trails off as a computer voice calls out in the Cave, making me very confused.
'Recognize: Catgirl-B27
Batgirl- B16'A goofy grin breaks out on his face as he starts walking to a dip in the wall that was now weirdly glowing.
Two girls walked out of the light, both easy to identify. The bat symbol is a popular theme here as well as the whip the other girl is carrying.
"Batgirl, I missed you so much!" Dick says walking passed Catgirl who looked as though she was going to hug him.
Her expression shifts to a playful one as she crosses her arms and calls out, "Fine, I will just give Jason a kiss on the cheek instead."
Dick spins on his heel, making her laugh and Batgirl smirk as he quickly pulls Catgirl in for a hug.
"Kidding. I missed you both. Different reasons, but I missed you both." He says happily as he wraps his arms around her waist as he does the same to his shoulders.
"Sure." The girl smiles up at him before the share a short kiss.
Tim made gagging sounds as Damian started lecturing on how love was useless. Jason just sat back, his arms crossed over his chest as he watched the two.
And me? I was having trouble understanding. Catgirl and an ex-robin? Isn't that against rules?
But the way that Dick's face lit up like a kid on Christmas when he saw her was all the confirmation that I needed. And she looked as though she didn't want to leave his side due to the fact that when he let go, she simply wrapped her arm around his and enter-twined their fingers.
"Do you have to do that here?" Batman surprises me with how normal his voice comes out as he speaks to the two.
"Let's just call it pay back for all of those times we were forced to watch you and Catwoman kiss." Dick smirks, walking forward with her still by his side.
"Worst part of my childhood." Catgirl quips with a wink as leans into him.
"Do you have to do that here, Grayson?" Damian questions, his nose wringing in disgust.
"I haven't seen her in a week. If I want to hug her, then I'm going to hug her." He defends, tightening his grip on her.
Despite my slight dislike for public affection, these two were actually really cute together. I still don't understand it, but I can tell there is something there.
