<Hazel's>
My faith in staying alive is decreasing the longer I am in this cage, despite Jason's thumb moving rhythmically against my hand in his attempt to calm me down.
But the person I am worried about isn't me, but him. Because he is the one that has a blood lust, he is the one that is so willing to kill that it terrifies me, and he is the one that won't be able to look at me the same way if he did end up killing my uncle. My blood.
Life has a funny way of organizing itself. Everything is connected, therefore there are bound to be crossovers, but I didn't know they could be this bad of crossovers.
I mean, the boy who saves me from this villain ends up being the hero that hate this villain, but the villain wants the hero as a partner, but the hero doesn't want that, and not to mention the fact that I am related to the villain and have very strong feelings towards the hero. Confusing feelings, but strong ones.
I can practically hear the universe laughing.
Nope, it's just my psycho uncle.
"Look at you two, all cuddled up." He says, a glint in his eyes, making me brace for his next words. "It really is remarkable how much of a pain you are like your mother was. It's almost as if all of her annoying traits were bottled up into one human. Then again, annoying to me." He adds, smirking at Jason, who is starting to look like a bull waiting to be set free again as he tenses up, his eyes locked on his prey. "Red hood seems to enjoy your annoying traits. Perhaps we should separate you two-"
"Do it and I promise you you won't want out of this building alive," Jason growls out, his hand out of mine as he pushes himself up, coming face to face with him.
"I won't." Black Mask says after a moment of staring at him, a playful look in his eyes. "But not because you asked me to. Because it hurts more this way."
Jason's eyes draw a blank before his head snaps to the door, where two men walk in, one holding a briefcase.
"Hazel get back." He mutters lowly, his eyes trained on them. "Get back!" He yells as the two men walk closer to my cage.
He starts kicking at the fence and throwing his body against it, but it's not having the effect he wishes it did.
Instead, his body starts to thrash and pulse painfully with electricity coursing through his veins.
"Stop it!" I shout. But it doesn't work, and the men are opening the door to my cage before I can even think about fighting back.
They grip my arm painfully and pull me out of the cage, before kicking the back of my knee, forcing my legs to give out.
Pain shoots through my body as they continue to hold me down and Black Mask steps closer to me.
"My, you are starting to look even more like your mother." He says, taking the briefcase from one of the goons. "Now, let's play a game, Red." He says, causing Jason's worried eyes to look away from mine. "How about you agree with me, or you get to watch poor Miss Hazel suffer." And then he pulls out a knife.
Well crap.
My eyes immediately snap to Jason's which are filled with rage and bloodlust as he watches the slow and steady movements of Black Mask as he presses the knife against my neck.
Jason bolts up faster than my eyes can follow and rams into the cage.
"TOUCH HER AGAIN AND YOU WON'T-"
"You move again, and open your mouth to say anything else other than side with me and this-" he jerks the knife down as slashes my arm causing a small scream to come from me,"- happens again."
