You look at the nursing home in front of you "He couldn't have forgotten us that much right? We visited him last week with Cecily." You look to Connor who is holding your daughter.

The android uprising was 10 years ago.
5 years ago you had yours and Connor's first child
4 years ago Hank was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease

You look at your husband and notice how big of a change he's gone through. No more of that cyberlife suit he wore every day, just a simple white dress shirt and a black tie with nice pants and shoes, no more LED (he removed it right after the android revolution), hair is a little curly. He looks so cute.

But you know he's changed more dramatically in his mental health. News of Hank's diagnosis hit him hard, even harder when the first time they visited Hank forgot Connor's name. But you both pushed through.

"It's not looking good for me kid." Hank tells Connor solemnly "Just old age at its finest. Don't worry about it." Connor looks at hank like he's said something extremely crazy.

"I think we should worry about it Hank. Alzheimer's is a very serious thing and-" "I told ya to not worry about it." Connor puts his head in his hands as you walk into the kitchen "what's going on?" "Dad has Alzheimer's." Connor doesn't look up.

"Oh shit." You mutter "Oh shit is right (Y/n). The doc gave me some mess for it, should slow down the progression of it." "It's 2057 and the world still doesn't have a cure for this?" Connor sighs.

"Don't worry your heads. You guys got a little girl to look after now, I'll be fine. Especially you Connor." Hank pulls him into a hug "Don't worry." You hear sniffling.

Connor is crying

"Here to see Hank Anderson." You tell the receptionist "Names?" "Uh (Y/n) Anderson and Connor Anderson with Cecily Anderson." She smiles "room 104." "Thank you." You smile back and walk towards the room.

The first time you went here you left Cecily with Kara, Alice, and Luther. "Hello hank." "Oh hey (Y/n)." "Hi hank." "Hey..." your eyes widen "H-Hey Connor." There's a flash of sadness in his eyes when he says that.

"Shit I-I'm having a hard time remembering simple stuff. Sorry guys." "No it's fine Hank." You kneel beside his chair "We'll help you, right Connor?" He nods "right."

"Hey Hank." You speak in a soft voice, he's sitting in a recliner, IV attached, and staring off into space. "Hey dad." That gets his attention "I was a dad?" Connor smiles "Yea you were a dad and now you're also a granddad." Your daughter hides behind Connor's leg.

"You remember Cecily right?" She waves at hank "Is she my grand daughter?" "Yes she is." You tell him "Wanna learn some coin tricks kiddo?" He pulls out a coin and flips it, Cecily walks over to him "I say I'm pretty good at them." "Where did you learn them grandpa?"

"Some dude taught me them, who taught me them hmm I'm not sure it's a distant memory." You feel Connor tense up. "I bet their doing something great though." you look at Connor and his eyes seem so sad.

"So you wanna learn?" She nods "alright well first you gotta keep the coin on your thumb and well you just gotta flip it." He hands her the coin and she flips it into the air "That's pretty good." They both laugh.

"You alright?" You shake Connor lightly "Yea I'm fine." "Hey you kid." Connor looks away from you and to hank "Wanna learn some coin tricks?" Connor smiles softly "Sure hank, I'm not sure how to do coin tricks." He kneels down beside him and Cecily hands her dad the coin.

"Wow you're a natural there kid." "Oh really?" You can see the tears in Connor's eyes so you walk over and sit next to him "yea kid you're almost as good as the guy who taught me." "Do you remember anything about the guy who taught you?" You ask.

"Well I think we worked together. I'm not sure on what."
"Sounds interesting. Can you tell us more?" "Yea sure."

I fuckin swear I better have done that math right. I hope the year is correct cuz if it isn't then i can't be in the IB program anymore lmao sorry y'all.
