Park Jieun's POV

"So, how long?" Jinyoung asked once the bell rang for class to be dismissed.

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"I mean isn't it suspicious how you two came into class late, at the same time?" She pointed out. "Doesn't that mean you two are dating?"

"We're not!" I denied. She eyed me suspiciously.

"Are you sure?" She got closer.

"I bet it on my life that we are not dating." I told her.

"That's not promising." She laughed.

"Fine," I said. "I bet it on my death."

"Are you sure you want to do that?" She eyed. "Because if you bet it on your death, that means you would have to live in this messed up world."

"I am positive." I told her. "We are not dating nor will we ever."

"Hey, what's popping?" Lucas swung his arms over the two of us.

"Who says that these days?" Jinyoung said, showing a face of disgust towards Lucas.

"I do!" He smiled. "Are you guys ready for Mrs. Lee's class?"

"The class where you ace in and we fail in?" I asked.

"Oh, c'mon!" Lucas said. "You're one of the best in the class!"

"Yeah, you should stop seeing yourself in that negative light." Jinyoung nudged me. "You're a really good student."

"But her class is so hard!" I whined. "I just only get good grades in those class because of the extra credit."

"Alright, miss 'I get 100's only'." Jinyoung rolled her eyes. "Speaking of which, did you study for today's test?"

"There was a test today?" Lucas asked. We stared at him.

"Yes, you idiot!" Jinyoung said.

"But you'll probably ace it since you're fluent in Chinese." I told him.

"I can only read it, I can't speak it that well." Lucas said.

"I can smell a liar in here~" Jinyoung sang as we entered inside of the classroom. We went into a fit of laughter before getting to our seats to take our test.

"You have to admit it, Jieun, that test was the worst!" Jinyoung complained as we sat down at our lunch table.

"Which test?" Jungwoo asked, taking a bite out of his sandwich.

"The Chinese test for Mrs. Lee's class." Jinyoung answered, stabbing her lunch. "I hated it so much! Like how the heck are we supposed to remember how to translate and answer a sentence in Chinese?"
