Na Jaemin's POV
I fingered the box in my pocket as I waited for my turn to be dismissed. It was the last day of my duty in the army, and I was ecstatic to propose. The last two years were painful, even if I managed to only catch a glimpse of my lover.
I smiled, remembering her eyes lighting up when she first saw the ring.

"Jaemin look!" I turned to see what my girlfriend was pointing at. It was a simple diamond ring with little studs lining the ring itself. There was a decently sized diamond in the shape of a circle that was on the ring. "Whoever, gets that ring is one lucky girl. I wonder how much it costs..."

"Cost isn't really matter concerning us." I told her. "Besides, we're here to get you a necklace for the ball tonight. The only ball I can attend."
"Well, duh!" My girlfriend rolled her eyes. "This is your last break before you go back into the army. Of course, you still have six more months before you are discharged."
"Just wait for me for six more months, sweetie." I kissed her on the cheek. I turned to look around the store and noticed a necklace that was shining just for her. "Hey, what about that necklace?"

Later that night, I snuck out of our house that we decided to move into right before my army service. I quietly closed the door and started the car. I already planned to do this a while back and parked the car outside of the garage, so I wouldn't have to deal with the issue of the garage door's loud noise.
I drove the car back towards the jewelry shop, which thankfully was still open. I sighed in relief as the warm heater hit my face from the cold night.
"Good evening, sir." The employee smiled. "What can I get for you?"
"Can I get this ring?" I pointed at the ring my girlfriend pointed at earlier.
