The One That Got Away

Chapter Five

"What the? Why are we here Wendy?" confused, Sooyoung lift up her head looking at the tall building of SM Entertainment.

"Did you forget my Uncle is the owner here? He wants to talk to us." Wendy informed, gesturing Sooyoung to go inside with her.

"Us? About what?" Sooyoung ignored her bestfriend's question, following the lead.

"You'll know later." her bestfriend said with a wink on her right eye.

Sooyoung just followed Wendy. They reached the topmost floor of the building and Wendy knocked on the door that has 'CEO's Office' written on it.

"Come in." a voice from the other side of the door said.

The two of them got inside the office. At the bottom part of it, Wendy's Uncle was sitting on the swivel chair while looking at the papers on his table.

"Uncle! We're here!!" Wendy greeted, walking towards her Uncle's table and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Oh! My favorite niece is finally here! I've been waiting for you. Oh, Sooyoung is here too." her Uncle greeted, hugging Wendy then reaching out his hand to Sooyoung.

"Hi, uhm, Sir?" Sooyoung greeted awkwardly, reaching out her hand to Wendy's Uncle. This was the first time they met so she didn't know how to call him.

"You're too formal. Just call mi Uncle too." commented Wendy's Uncle, gesturing for them to sit on the chairs in front of the table. "I don't want to hold you for too long 'cause I still have a meeting later so I'm going to be direct to the point here." he continued.

Sooyoung's expression was still confused but didn't say anything.

"Sooyoung," he started. "I know that you are a very talented woman with that age of yours. So I'm not gonna think twice of offering you a contract to become a member of a new girl group that my company is going to release soon." he explained.

Sooyoung's sudden change of facial expression made Wendy chuckle.

"Sooyoung, my Uncle's offering you, well us, to become artists!" Wendy clarified.
