Sungjae removed his black mask. He wanted to talk to her face-to-face. He wanted to know more about her. He wanted to find out something he has been questioning himself.

Can I ask her? What if she gets mad? What if it was just nothing and I just put meaning into it? Why do I care about it anyway? He asked in his mind.

"Good thing there were no fans who could recognize you." Sooyoung suddenly spoke breaking the silence between the two of them, looking at the people below.

He looked down below as well. Sooyoung was right. There was no one who approached him today and asked that he's somehow familiar to them. Maybe he was just lucky today.

The ferris wheel moved a bit fast now. The ride was starting.

"Sooyoung." he started talking and looked at her.

Sooyoung looked at him, both surprised and confused.

Whatever. I have to ask her.

"What was your relationship with Eunkwang?" Sungjae asked, his expression turned into a serious one.

Sooyoung's eyes looked like it's gonna come out anytime. He can see right into it that there's really something between the two of them just by seeing her reaction.

"I..I..Ho-how did you know?" she stuttered, asking him.

Honestly, he just observed things in what he sees. First, when the incident happened at Hongdae. He saw how Eunkwang reacted the moment he saw Sooyoung. Second, at SM Entertainment. When Eunkwang called him while Sooyoung and him bumped into each other at the elevator. Sooyoung also had the reaction when she heard Eunkwang's voice and how she quickly left without saying anything. Third, after those things happened, Eunkwang was always absent minded even at work.

"He was my ex-boyfriend." Sooyoung blurted out making Sungjae surprised.

"We had dated before, for 3 years. I bet you didn't know about it and the others too. Only your manager knew. Of course, who would like it if everyone knew about an idol having a relationship with a normal person, right?" she continued.

Sungjae was even more surprised now. He couldn't say a thing, still astonished to the information he had known just now.

"And because we kept it a secret, we couldn't go out that easily. Couldn't even have a decent date. We couldn't even go out together, alone. Your manager was always there, tailing us." She explained more, not looking at Sungjae anymore.

"I was happy at first, you know, being together with Eunkwang. Not because he's famous, not because he has gotten a lot of money. His happy virus when we were getting along was the reason for my feelings. He was caring, sweet and romantic. But, it was too late when I realized the consequences of dating a popular singer in the country. After months of dating him, he got busier and busier. You guys always go on tours, guestings and even go overseas to perform. He had only few time to spend with me." Sooyoung stopped, feeling the tears that fell down her cheeks.

Sungjae wanted to approach and comfort her. He could feel her pain.

"For a year, I understood the situation of our relationship. I was okay with it. I tried to understand. But, it wasn't seem right already. No matter how I told him I needed him, he wasn't there. He couldn't. I couldn't understand anymore." sobbing, Sooyoung tried to wipe the tears that fell down.

Sungjae moved to Sooyoung's side, giving her a tight hug, which caused the cubicle to shake a bit.

"But I couldn't break up with him. I loved him that I couldn't afford to let him go. Once in awhile, he sees me. But it took months after months. Until we reached three years. That's when I realized I wasn't happy anymore. That wasn't the relationship I've dreamt of." This time, Sooyoung hugged Sungjae back, crying hard thinking about the past that she tried to forget.

"I'm sorry I asked you about it." He apologized, gently tapping Sooyoung at the back.

"It's okay. It's just that, we have broken up recently so it's still fresh. But, I'm getting better now. Well, trying to be." she said, moving away from Sungjae to wipe her tears.

Sungjae couldn't process everything yet. He couldn't believe Eunkwang let this woman go. But he also knows that Eunkwang had loved Sooyoung too. There was just hindrances in their relationsip: time and effort.

The sudden halt of the ride ended his deep thoughts. The staff opened their cubicle. Sungjae put on the mask again before going out with Sooyoung.

"I'll take you home." he offered, putting his arm to Sooyoung's shoulders.

Sooyoung just nodded, lowering down her gaze to the ground.
