"You're waiting for his call, aren't you?" Wendy asked her bestfriend, Sooyoung.

"What?? Me? Waiting for his call??? Hah! Of course not!" Sooyoung denied, putting her phone away from her grip.

"Oh really? You've been looking and holding your phone for two hours without doing anything, Sooyoung." Wendy crossed her arms, looking at her bestfriend suspiciously.

"Well, I...I was just looking at the time." she commented, getting her phone again.

She looked at the time. It was already past 11pm.

"Don't deny it. We're bestfriends Sooyoung. I know you well." Wendy sighed,  watching the show on the TV.

Sooyoung sighed, resting her back on the couch.

"I don't know Wendy. Earlier after our performance, I found myself looking for him. We've met backstage. I was happy to see him. And now, I am looking forward for his call. What am I supposed to do?" she explained, looking at the ceiling.

"You like him." Wendy blurted out, still watching TV.

Sooyoung was surprised at her bestfriend's statement. It made her sit up straight, staring at Wendy.

"Don't deny it." Wendy added, now looking at Sooyoung.

"I-I'm not saying anything yet!" Sooyoung defended herself.

"It's because there's no other reason but only 'You like him'". Wendy answered back.

Sooyoung and Wendy gave each other an annoyed stare.

"C'mon Sooyoung! There's nothing wrong with liking that guy. He's a good and sweet man. And though he's so popular now, he didn't hesitate to bring you to an amusement park." Wendy said.

"You know what Wendy, I really don't know. He's in the same band with Eunkwang. I can't like somebody who's connected with my ex-boyfriend!" Sooyoung said, standing up.

Wendy stoop up too. "Who cares if they're in the same band? Who cares if they are friends? Sooyoung, what Eunkwang and you had was all in the past. If Sungjae and you like each other, then why not? If Eunkwang isn't okay about it, what else can he do? He let you go. He was the one who didn't take care of your relationship."

Sooyoung was taken aback with what her bestfriend said.

Wendy is right. But isn't it too fast for me to find someone special?

"And if you're thinking about dating someone so fast after your break up, well, who cares? It's your heart that you follow. Not others." Wendy added, looking back at the TV show she was watching.

Sooyoung froze. Everything her bestfriend said was right. But she doesn't know what's wrong with her thinking the other way around.

Just as she was about to say something, her phone rang. Sooyoung looked at her phone then to Wendy, who was also looking at her. They were both expecting who the caller was.

"It's an unknown caller." Sooyoung said, now looking at her phone.

"That must be Sungjae. Answer it!" Wendy exclaimed, standing up from the couch.

Sooyoung carefully touched the answer button on her phone screen and placed it near her ears, "Hello? Who's this, please?" She asked the caller on the other line.

"Sooyoung, it's me. Sungjae." he answered back.

Wendy's eyes got bigger after hearing who the caller was. Sooyoung, on the other hand, was surprised and nervous.

She knew it was Sungjae just by hearing his voice.

Wendy gestured her bestfriend to go to her room and have the phonecall inside, giving them privacy.

Sooyoung went to her room, closed the door then went to lie down on her bed while holding her phone.

"Hello? Sooyoung, still there?" Sungjae asked, sounding confused since she didn't answer immediately.

"Oh yeah! Yes, still here. Sorry about that. I just had to do something real quick." she said, letting out a short laugh.

"Did I disturb you from doing something? I can just call later on when you're done there." he offered.

"No! No! I mean it's fine. I'm not doing anything. Not busy at all." she said immediately.

"Oh I see. Sorry I called late. My bandmates were here earlier." Sungjae apologized.

His bandmates came by at his place? Eunkwang must have been there too.

"It's fine. I usually sleep late so..yeah." Sooyoung replied back.

"I didn't tell Eunkwang about the thing that you told me. Don't worry." he suddenly said, sounding so serious.

Sooyoung knew that he was serious. She had to say something to break the seriousness of the conversation.

"I..I didn't say anything about him. I'm fine with whatever you do. We're done with each other so..I don't really care about it." she said in a happier voice.

"You're fine with whatever I do? Really?" Sungjae asked.

"Uhmm..yeah?" Sooyoung replied.

"So, is it okay with you if I ask you to date me?" he said in a serious tone.

Sooyoung's eyes widened upon hearing those words from the other line. She couldn't believe it.

"Date? The two of us?" she asked, confused with the meaning of Sungjae's question.

"I want you to be my girlfriend, Sooyoung."
