"Bonnie, you've blown up enough balloons," Davina tells her, as she's on the phone with her currently. "I don't think anyone will notice if there's not ninety-nine."

"Well, I think Caroline might notice. She has an eye for that sort of thing. Hey, um, completely unrelated note...do you know where Kol is today?"

"Uh, he's with me." Davina glances over at Kol, who was currently sprawled out on the couch with a book. "Why?"

"Oh...no reason. Just making sure he isn't wreaking havoc on the town," Bonnie mumbles. "Wait, can you hold? My dad wants to talk to me. It'll be quick."

"Sure." Davina puts her phone down and goes back to practicing magic. She pages through a grimoire when Kol speaks up.

"What kind of garbage is this? I mean, it's not even remotely realistic," he remarks, referring to the book.

"It's Twilight, what do you expect? Don't worry, I don't have any fictional crushes on the guys in the movies," Davina sighs.

"Well, I wasn't worried until now."

"I don't," she assures him with a small smile. "But, let me know when you finish the books. I'll show you the movies, and then we can move on the Fifty Shades of Grey."

"Bloody fantastic," he groans before going back to reading. Davina watches as he tsks and shakes his head.

"Davina? I'm back."

Davina picks her phone back up. "You finished the talk with your dad?"

"Yep. Bad news, he cancelled the dance and every other town event. As if that's not bad enough, he's reinstating curfew," Bonnie complains.

"Wow, that sucks. Not that I was gonna go to the dance anyways, but you blew up all of those balloons for nothing. What a waste," Davina comments.

"I know. Elena even called me to say that there was vervain in the town water system, which my dad poured in himself."

"Damn, he's really taking those precautions," Davina chuckles. "It's annoying but very fatherly."

"Well, he's being overbearing. Always watching me over my shoulder, like I need supervision."

"Any particular reason why?"

"He's worried about my magic," Bonnie admits, making Davina's eyes go wide. "Even went so far as to call a family meeting."

"Will Abby be there?"

"Who knows these days. I hope she isn't, though, because this would be a lame excuse to call her."

"Maybe your dad has a point. Bonnie, Expression could consume you."

"Not you, too."

"I'm just saying-"

"Look, I've got to go. He wants me home urgently, and these balloons are begging for me to kick them. I'll see you." Bonnie suddenly hangs up, making Davina furrow her eyebrows.

"She hung up on me."

Davina and Kol were now nestled on the couch while watching the first Twilight movie. Neither of them looked very interested, but he was having fun with pointing out everything wrong with the movie.
