Chapter Four ♡

~time skip: week of the festival! ~

Your POV

The festival was on Friday! It was currently Monday evening. The fair was all the group and I could talk about. (B/F/N)'s excitement was through the roof, even more so than last time. Speaking of my best friend, she and I were currently with the guys at Central Park.

"Jesus (B/F/N)! I knew you were excited for Friday but this is like ten times crazier than last time!"

She laughed. "Sorry sorry! I just have a good feeling about Friday!" she exclaimed, practically fangirling.

"Oh yeahhhh. You have that plan of yours that you refuse to tell me. Stop scaring me with itttt."

She pat my head. "Aww don't be scared, ya baby. It's only good things."

"I sure hope so."

We all laughed. "I'm also excited, but apparently not nearly as excited as (B/F/N)," John said.

The other three guys nodded. I looked at them curiously. "You guys got something going on too?"

"Maybeeee~!" John said.

I groaned. "My God you guys. Why am I left in the darkkkk?"

(B/F/N) giggled. "Not for much longer, my dear best friend."

Alex raised an eyebrow at the word 'dear'. (B/F/N) looked at him. "I'm being silently judged! Stop judging my best friend pet namessss!"

Alex snickered. "Okay okay."

We continued chatting, until I checked my phone. 7:26. "Geez it's getting late. I should get going."

"Yeah, probably. But first, wanna get some ice cream? I've been wanting some all day," (B/F/N) said.

I nodded. "Sounds good!" I turned to the guys, putting my phone in my bag. "We'll see you guys Friday! Or maybe sooner~!"

I pulled (B/F/N) up, holding onto her arm as we walked away. The fiery skyline was just barely visible through the thick trees. It was truly a beautiful day.

"Look at the sky through the trees! It's so prettyyyyy!" I exclaimed.

"It is! I have a prettier best friend though."

I hit her arm playfully. "(B/F/NN), your lesbian side is showing."

"When ain't it?"

We both started giggling. "True."

After a few minutes, we reached a Dairy Queen amongst all the other buildings. (B/F/N) pulled me in excitedly. "Whatchu gonna get?" she asked.

"(F/IC/F), duh," I answered.

"Sounds good. Imma get that as well!"

We walked up to the counter, the cashier smiling at us. "What can I get you guys?"

"We're gonna get two small (F/IC/F), please," (B/F/N) answered.

"Okay! That'll be $5.34!" (idk I'm just making sh*t up)

I pulled out six dollars and handed it to the girl before (B/F/N) could. She pouted at me. "I was gonna payyy!"

"Nope. You pay enough," I said, laughing.

After about two minutes, (B/F/N) and I found ourselves walking to my apartment, eating ice cream. We arrived at my apartment five minutes later.

I looked at her. "Wanna have a quick (F/S) marathon?"

(B/F/N) shook her head. "I gotta finish up my super sneaky plan for the festival."

I pouted. "Pleaaase?"

"Sorry (N/N). How 'bout tomorrow after dinner?"

I nodded. "Sounds good! I guess I'll see you tomorrow then!"

She nodded excitedly. "Yeah! Can't wait~!"

She gave me a quick hug before going down the hall.

"Love ya, best friend!"

She laughed, turning around briefly. "Love ya more~!"

"Impossible!"

She stopped walking, grinning. "Nothing's impossible! Now catch ya tomorrow!"

I gasped. "I'll get you back! Just you wait~!"

We both laughed, her turning around again and continuing to walk.

I left (Y/N)'s apartment complex, but instead of going to mine, like I'm sure she thought I was going, I continued walking down the street a few minutes.

Soon, I found myself in front of a shop. "The final step of my festival plan! Almost complete!" I exclaimed to myself, smiling brightly.

I entered the shop, feeling a sense of new happiness. Not a crazy, obsessed-over-love happiness, but rather, the exciting feeling of being in love kinda happiness.
