Asgore then chuckled softly and spoke
"I would surely love to meet her someday. Sounds like she is a very nice person indeed. And if what you say about her is genuine, then she would be a fine woman for you, my son" After that, the king just laughed it off, which just made Asriel blush a bit harder, while Undyne looked at him with a soft smile
Toriel glanced over at Undyne, watching how she would just stay quiet
"What about you Undyne? How is your relationship with Dr. Alphys? I am certain you both are doing quite well" she asked with the kind motherly smile she usually liked to display
Undyne gasped suddenly at the question imposed and her soft smile quickly faded into more of a sad look, even her ear fins lowered down.
"O-oh... Well uhh... It's complicated. We had a... an argument and ended up going our separate ways... She doesn't uhh... really want to see me for a while. But we're done..." she replies. Asriel glanced at the fish woman, noticing something was not right. She was hiding something perhaps.
"Oh goodness! That means you do not have anywhere to sleep in! Worry not, my dear. We do have some spare rooms where you can sleep. You may stay as long as you'd like" Toriel replied. Undyne nodded at the goat lady with a weak smile and began eating again.
After an outstanding meal, both Asgore and Frisk decided to watch some TV, while Toriel washed the dishes herself and ignoring Undyne's offerings to do it herself. Now, the prince and the fish lady had time to spend, so first thing they did was to head out and buy some popcorn at the local convenience store nearby. On the way there, Asriel couldn't help but to ask Undyne about her relationship with Alphys
"Undyne... Did you really argued with Al? You girls were inseparable" he asks, almost 100% sure she lied back at home during the dinner
"Y-yeah... It wasn't pretty like I said... I... I don't really want to talk about it..." she replies, acting (pretty badly) sad and hurt, which it didn't fool the young prince. Now he was certain. There was something going on and Undyne was hiding something. Something she didn't want him to find out... yet.
As they arrive at the store, Asriel gets 2 big buckets of popcorn and Undyne gets the soda. After that, they head back home and on the way they find Sans and Papyrus, who had just came from the restaurant they had opened 3 months prior
"Hey! Look who it is! The Skelebros! What's up punks!" she immediately greeted her lifelong friends. The taller skeleton and the fish lady start to chat between them about their day as Sans chuckled at them
"Same ol' buddies. Heya prince. 'Goat' the time off of Royal work? Heh" Sans snorted, and as usual throwing in a pun in his greeting. The goat man shook his head in disbelief and chuckled
"I don't get to talk policy. I mostly just help keep the peace... between mum and dad. You don't wanna see mum mad. Believe me, it's the second worst thing." he whispered "She gets worse than Undyne..."
Sans laughed
"Hah, no wonder. Just hope she doesn't have a 'bone' to pick with you if y'all get home late. Don't piss off the goat lady or you get the lecture"
Asriel chuckled. He did remember that one time he came from a night trip with his father and arriving late was their grave mistake, trying to sneak in. Unfortunately for them, Toriel was waiting for them and ripped them a new one with a 6 hour long lecture
"You're not telling me something I don't know... or that I never experienced... I never want to piss her off again... Not after the other day" He suddenly had an idea "Hey! Wanna come to my house? We're having movie night tonight and I'd figure your brother would like to come. On the plus side, you get to see how's Frisk doing and perhaps just have a bit of fun for once. We haven't had time to be all together in a while."
"Heh, why not? Haven't seen the kid in a while and they probably miss me and Paps. Besides, it'll give us time to 'ketchup'. Hey bro! How about we go with them for a movie night? I'd bet Frisk is eager to see you"
Papyrus jumped in excitement and Undyne smiled
"Then it's settled, guys! Come on!" And he began to make his way back home, followed by the other back home, along with their snacks and drinks for the night
