Chapter 47
Invite

"Are you sure about this, Iarra?" paninigurado ni Kuya Diego sa akin at naninigkit ang kanyang mga mata. "This is gonna be a big responsibility. Maisasabay mo ba 'to sa pamamahala ng plantation?"

I video called my brother to tell him about my plans. He was inside their room, and I could see Ate Rain sleeping on the bed at the background. Every time my eyes would drift and see the bump on her tummy, it's making me smile even when my brother's completely serious while talking to me.

"Gio's busy with his own company. I want to be busy too while doing what I like doing."

"Does Gio know anything about your plan?" he asked me.

I pouted a bit. "Well, I haven't told him about it yet. I want to have a concrete plan first because I know that he would involve himself with the planning if I already tell him about it," I reasoned out.

His judgemental stare was enough to make me conclude that it was what he's really thinking about me at the moment.

"I swear, Kuya! Don't you give me that judgemental stare," bahagyang naiinis kong sabi sa kanya.

He slightly chuckled because of my sudden outrage. "Okay, little sister," he said. "I believe you now."

Humalukipkip ako at saka tumingin ng diretso sa kanya. "Now, please help me with my plans, Kuya."

Kuya didn't literally help me planning out. He just gave me advices on what I should prioritize with starting the business that I'm planning.

Gusto kong magtayo ng sarili kong restaurant. I like adding twists in a normal dish and experimenting foods that all turned out to be delicious.

Well, I understand that she's bored just lurking around the mansion, but I hope she would just travel more and relax. I know how cruel my mom can be, but I couldn't help thinking and caring about her. She would be alone in that big mansion with only the security guards, driver and maids left that's why she needs to learn how to enjoy her life more other than working.

Keeping in mind my brother's advices, I went out on stroll around the city and searched for a good looking where I could build my restaurant. Sa pag-aadvertise naman nito, I know my sister could help me with it. It might only stress her, and that would lead to my brother probably disowning me as his little sister for stressing his beautiful pregnant wife.

I connected my phone to my car's speakers before answering his call.

"Hello..." malambing kong pagsagot.

"Are you out?" he casually asked.
