❞So you opened up to each other?❞ Tasha asked excitingly and I nodded in response. ❞I'm so happy for you, Cat.❞

❞Thank you.❞ I smiled happily. ❞I missed this.❞ I said, Tasha looked at me, ❞Us just talking and listening to each other's problems like normal girls.❞

Tasha's lips curved up in a smile and she looked down, shaking her head.

❞Girl, you know that we're not normal girls.❞ She spoke, ❞You're trapped with your manipulating husband, and I,❞ she stopped for a second, ❞I need to dance my ass off to get some money.❞ A weak laugh escaped her lips.

I looked at her and thought of what I saw. I saw a strong, beautiful woman, with a good heart and a tough past. Losing her parents and her little sister must've been extremely tough, especially being with an awful foster family after that. But Tasha was strong, and didn't let anyone take her down. She took care of herself and
made the best out of tough situations.

❞You know that i don't hate my job, right?❞

❞Ofcourse, you told me that.❞ I assured.

❞I always loved dancing. I danced with Lani every day.❞ Tasha smiled as she thought of her little sister. ❞She loved ❜Dancing Queen❜. I didn't like that song as much as she did, but it became our song. She played it every time she got home from school, and she never got tired of it.❞

❞My mother loves that song. When I visit her, sometimes I catch her singing that song when she cooks or cleans.❞
I said and smiled as I remembered the last time I visited my mother.

It was on a weekend and nobody was opening the door. I searched for my keys in my purse and stopped when I heard singing. When I walked in, I catched my mother singing from the bottom of her lungs. Her eyes were closed as she was feeling the song, she didn't even notice me. That was until she finished the song and heard my applause.

❞Really?❞ Tasha was surprised. ❞I guess it's a popular song.❞ She added and I agreed.

There was a moment of silence, but Tasha began to speak,

❞I promised my sister that we would both become dancers. This wasn't exactly what I planned, but... I sometimes feel like it still is. I know it's weird, but it's true. Sometimes I forget that there are nasty men watching me and that there is an audience instead. I know it's really weird-❞

❞No, it's your way of surviving. And you're very strong for making the best out of the toughest situations.❞
I claimed and leaned forward.

She looked at me and a smile crossed her lips.

❞Thank you. I miss this too.❞ She sighed, ❞I wish we both weren't that busy.❞

❞Yeah, I can agree on that.❞ We both let out a laugh and continued to enjoy our teas and time together.

Christmas was approaching us and the streets of New York looked more magical than ever. So many bright lights, green and red colours everywhere, all types of christmas decorations and big christmas trees. I loved Christmas. The only thing I didn't like about this holiday was that we needed to visit James family, or what me and Tasha called them:
The Richmond devils.
