Chapter 20

[Minty's P.O.V]

After our little singing party, usually I don't join but I had to anyways,we all fell asleep. I dreamted about bread,Ed & Yukie too! I ended up being the 1st one awake so I got up & snuck to the kitchen where I began making breakfast. I went with chocolate chip waffles with eggs,bacon & toast. Soon Nyaru-kun joined me in the kitchen, now I'm not lonely.

"so Nyaru-kun, wanna help?" I giggled then soon got a happy yip. I set him on the counter before I grabbed a stool to stand on. I hate being short in their giant kitchen but I was too lazy to go to my hut so it will have to do! As soon as I got into the stool,Nyaru-kun & I got straight to work! I made the waffle batter as he added in the chocolate chips. the extra powder from the mix poured out causing me to set the bowl down & got off the stool then sneezed loudly.

"bless you" I soon heard before I looked around. I squeaked seeing Nyaru-kun as a boy my age. I blushed & covered my eyes, since he was just a fox, he didn't have clothes on.

"t-thank you"i said flustered.i soon ran off & jumped Ed."Wake up!"i said, a slight scared tone in my voice. I just turned his new pet into a human! how could I not be scared of what his reaction is?

Ed slowly woke up "Uhh .... wh-what happened mint?" Ed asked as I was sitting on top of him shaking him out of sleep. Ed caressed my cheek "calm down a bit okay?". Okay, that did calm me down but what would he think of what i just did?

I quickly got up & dragged him to the kitchen where Nyaru-Kun was still sitting on the counter now human, he still had his fox ears & tail which was cute, & still naked.i closed my eyes again"i had a little magic accident when I sneezed again"

Ed was completely caught off guard but seems like he didnt mind him being naked "Is that ....? Is that Nyaru-Kun?"

I nodded trying not to cry. I was scares he'd be really mad at me."i-it is.... he wanted to help me with b-breakfast so I let him. Then some powder f-from the waffle mix made my sneeze then poof! He's human"i said, I don't like stuttering but I guess I had no choice. I didn't want to cry really.

Ed had a weird expression on his face as he closely looked at nyaru "All that's okay minty I don't really mind .... can he talk?" Okay that was a relief .... but seriously? does his curiosity win over him that easily or is he just so forgiving?

I hugged his leg tightly trying not to cry."i can talk!"Nyaru-Kun said before shivering a bit."i want clothes"he whined, it was kinda cute.

Ed suddenly realizing that he was naked and required clothes, went red top to bottom. his curiosity fading. "uhhhh! In a moment!" He rushed out.I giggled a little with my eyes still closed. he's so silly it's great!

Ed rushed back in with a loose shirt and shorts. "Th-there you go ..."

I opened my eyes as Nyaru-kun got dressed."i want a lab coat too! pretty please!"he asked while wagging his tail. I squealed & hugged him."your so cute!"i said as I nuzzled him earning a purr.

Ed rubbed his chin while looking at us. "Okay ...." then he suddenly put an arm up in the air and exclaimed "I SHIP YOU TWO!" then he ran off to get a labcoat leaving me and nyaru in a blushing mess.

I pulled my beanie over my eyes blushing heavily."ED!"i whined before squeaking.Nyaru-Kun had hugged me

"i-its ok"he said trying to comfort me. I uncovered my eyes then smiled"ok!"i said before going back to make breakfast. We worked fast considering that we made enough waffles for everyone to have 2 & Ed hasn't even come back with the lab coat!

Soon Ed came back with a shiny white labcoat and looked as if he had just made it out of nothing. "There it is, nyaru kun. Here, put your hands in the sleeves." He said, holding the coat behind Nyaru-kun. They both looked too cute.

"But minty. Animals rarely have the linguistic ability. and there is alot of difference between animal cognition and human cognition. How did you fill the gaps? more like .... what did you fill the gaps with ...? who were you thinking about just before this happened?"

I shrugged"all I had on my mind was breakfast & making sure Nyaru-Kun wouldn't get hurt. I am magical but I don't really know how it works or how to fully control it! If I did I wouldn't bee sneezing as much"i said as Nyaru-kun put the lab coat in & smiles"yay! now why is everything blurry?"

Ed got worried "Are you okay ...?"

Nyaru-kun shrugged"things are just blurry"he said. I put my glasses on him before digging in my bag for spares."if.you can see wth those on you can have my spares"i said before Ed pulled them.out of my bag."i can kinda see better"he said before swapping glasses. I put mine one & smiles"ok!"

Ed patted Nyaru kun and started thinking. "Minty, my hypothesis is that you were thinking of me too much when you sneezed hence the personality gaps of Nyaru-kun got filled by your thoughts of me ....." He blushed slightly realizing what he said. "REGARDLESS! I think Nyaru-kun is perfect to be my assistant!"

I blushed a bit as I continued breakfast. I giggle when Nyaru-Kun cheered for being his assistant now"im bored...."i mumbled watching the bacon slowly cook.

"How about you and nyaru kun try to draw together?" Ed said

My eyes sparkled"OK! Baby sit the bacon oh & we need eggs scrambled for me!"i squealed before rushing off with Nyaru-Kun.

I could hear Ed chuckle as I run off with Nyaru-kun. we ran till we ran right into Yuki."woah where's there fire" she laughs.

"were gonna draw!"Nyaru-Kun said. I giggle seeing his expression as I looked at him.Yukie nods & walked to the kitchen before Nyaru-Kun drags me off.Nyaru and I sit on my bed as i take out my drawing supplies. I pulled out sketch books, pens, pencils, colored pencils & a whole lot of erasers.

Nyaru kun's eyes lit up "SO much stuff to draw with! what will i use?"

I giggled & patted him gently"anything you like!"

Nyaru kun got right to work & i watched trying to figure out what he was drawing. Soon, 20 minutes go by & i blush. he was drawing me exactly how i was sitting in front of him, guess it took him so long because i moved a few times whoops.

I finally stayed completely still & he finished the drawing."done"he said before running off to put it on the fridge"your amazing!"I said as I ran off to drag Ed & Yukie over to look."who drew this?"Yukie asked,I giggled & patted Nyaru Kun"he did!"I said."awwww! I ship you guys even more now!"Ed said making me & Nyaru Kun blush."Were too young to be shipped!"he said patting Ed. Ed laughed before we all sat togethe, drew & ate breakfast. We played games & had lots of fun till bed time. I went to my room,Yukie went to hers & Ed went to his with Nyaru Kun
