  Levi sighed.
"Fine." He walked around you and left Commander Erwin's office, purposely brushing you off and ignoring you. You let out an exhale of relief.
"Thank you, Commander." You replied, saluting him before walking out of his office. You weren't going to approach Levi about what had occurred because you weren't going to argue with him while he was being so stubborn. After all, you thought that he did have a right to be upset since you did in fact say how much you hated the Underground. Levi was leaning against the wall in the hallway by his room. You walked passed Levi and didn't say a word. He reacted the same, not speaking a word to you. After you had walked quite a ways down the hall, he went in his quarters and shut the door behind him. For some reason you felt like he wanted to say something, but choked it down to keep from upsetting you. You decided to go about some training in your room by doing sets of sit-ups and push-ups before bed. You were slowly gaining a lot of muscle fairly quickly and were satisfied with the results. You heard an aggressive knock on your bedroom door. Levi. You thought. When opening your door, much to your surprise, it wasn't Levi.
"Oh, hello Eren." You greeted. Eren smiled briefly. He seemed to be in a rush over something.
"You're going on tomorrow's mission right?" Eren asked. You nodded before speaking with him.
"Yes, I am." You answered. Eren hummed in disapproval. The tone rang in your ears.
"Not you too." You argued, fully knowing what his opinion on the matter was.
"I didn't even say anything." He stated, surprised.
"You don't have to, I can tell you don't think it's a good idea. Did Levi send you?" You asked. Eren was still taken aback at you being so comfortable with being on a first name basis with Levi.
"Not exactly." Eren answered semi-honestly.
"So he talked to you about it being a bad idea then?" You asked.
"Not in so many words. I overheard him talking about it with the Commander." Eren explained thoroughly. You sighed in annoyance.
"Look, I know that place more than I know the back of my hand, Eren. It's going to be okay. I'm not going on my own either. Just trust that this mission will go well and that everything will be alright in the end." You mentioned to Eren. He nodded.
"Yeah, you're right. Levi acts like you two are married or something." Eren joked and laughed a little. You were shocked to hear him say such a thing so abruptly. Yet, you laughed along with him, assuming that he meant nothing by the comment.
"Eren." You heard Levi from down the hall. Eren jumped a little, startled by Levi's low, brooding voice. You snickered at Eren's reaction.
"Yes, Captain?" Eren turned to salute Levi. He was in hopes that Levi didn't hear the last part of the conversation he was having with you.
"Go back to your quarters." Levi commanded. Eren did as he was told without saying his goodbye's to you. Levi walked up to the middle of your doorway.
"Yes?" You questioned, seemingly displeased with his entrance.
"Why are you fighting this so much?" Levi asked, curious. You could tell he was worried, and while you were grateful for that, it still annoyed you to all hell. You exhaled.
"Because it's my job. I was appointed to be on your squad and that includes working  with you during all missions. Commander Erwin and yourself agreed that no soldier deserves special treatment. If you keep me here, that's exactly what you're doing. You'll be giving me special treatment all because you're worried or because you don't trust me." You proclaimed to Levi with a serious tone.
"You know I trust you, it has nothing to do with that. Every time someone mentioned the Underground, your hair stood on edge and you looked like you were about to yack up your lunch. Now you're suddenly ready to go balls deep in the place that made you miserable? It's just odd to me." Levi added, revealing how he viewed the situation.
"Okay, I get what you're saying. But it still doesn't change the fact that this is still my job. I can't have you holding my hand or keeping me back from doing what I need to do. I am scared. You're right, I'm fucking terrified; but that doesn't mean anything. It'd be no different than me facing up against a Titan. We all have to face our demons one way or another Levi and I'm not going to be held back from doing that by anyone. So please, let me do this with you." You pleaded with Levi. He sighed, understanding what it was you had to get off your chest. He admitted to himself that what you said wasn't just true, but that it hit home for him as well.
"Alright, alright. You can go." Levi gave in, somewhat hesitant.
"Thank you." You responded, relieved that he quickly agreed.
