54: Her Sunlight

  A/N: For those that celebrated either with friends, family, or even by themselves, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I hope everyone is excited for the remaining year that we have. It went by so quickly, I can't even believe it! I hope you're all ready for the new chapter. I've dedicated this chapter to 'The Night We Met' by Lord Huron. I feel this song is absolutely perfect for the entire mood of the chapter. It really takes you back to how Levi and Y/N really did meet and it soaks in that memory. The journey that Levi and Y/N have been on together and even a part makes them who they are. It also makes them beautiful in soul and spirit.   You had sat in the middle of your bed, while Levi sat at the edge. You both talked throughout the night, discussing completely random topics, ranting and raving about anything you could think of. You were far more talkative than normal with him, due to the alcohol still in your system. It had made you more honest than you had liked, but that was something you weren't complaining about at the moment. It may have even been a blessing in disguise for you to vomit up words you normally wouldn't have said to Levi. The thought made you smile. A large part of you wanted to keep talking just so the night would never end. You wanted to hang on to the current moment forever. You looked at Levi happily, making his expression soften a little. 
  "You look really exhausted. I know you didn't drink that much to get shit faced but you should sleep." You brought up. Levi raised his eyebrows and tried to hold back a snicker. Once you realized why he was on the verge of laughter, you blushed and started laughing on your own.
  "Ew, not the shit jokes, Levi. Anything but that!" You shouted a bit, covering your mouth with the back of your hand as you laughed. You moved your upper body forward a little as you continued to clown around. Your shoulders shifted up and down by how much you were laughing. Levi simply observed, amused with himself for causing you to be in such a state of utter exuberance over such a small, yet dirty joke.
  "God, I don't know who's worse with dirty jokes like that, you or Hanji." You continued to giggle, catching your breath. Levi nodded. 
  "Me." Levi confirmed. You chuckled at him, shaking your head. You yawned deeply, informing Levi that it was time for him to leave. He got up to kiss your forehead before heading back to his own room. As he pulled away from the warmth of your skin on his lips, you grabbed hold of his collar without even thinking, and your lips collided with his. You shifted on the bed so that you were on your knees. Both of your hands roamed against the back of Levi's head as you deepened the kiss. He gripped his hands against your waist before moving them to cup your cheeks. You smiled into the kiss, feeling so comforted and safe with him.
  Everything just melted away as if the only thing that existed in the universe was Levi. Your chest lit up like a firework as your stomach felt like it was about to implode again. You didn't want to fight your feelings for Levi anymore. It was too unbearable to deny, but you could now accept the fact that you really, truly loved him. Loved him more than just a kind colleague or mentor. Loved him more than just a dear friend. You loved him in a way that made you feel invincible. Loving Levi meant that you could always count on him to love you and protect you in return. That's all you ever could've needed. You broke the kiss and rested your forehead against Levi's. You both had to catch your breath before even saying a word to each other. 
  "Goodnight to you too, Y/N" Levi stated, pecking you on the nose. You chuckled softly again, staying in the same position with Levi for a while. You both were silent, just enjoying the warmth of each other. The weight of Levi started to get heavier against you. You opened your eyes to see that he was clearly asleep. You moved aside and helped him get into your bed. You laughed to yourself while doing so. You figured that him never getting proper sleep, along with drinking didn't really sit well. But you were at the very least happy that he could get some slumber, even if it were just for the night.
