Three Years Later
I laid the bouquet of flowers on my mama's grave, and kissed her headstone.
"I miss you, mom... so much. I miss your hugs, your smiles. You kisses. I just miss you so... damned much," I muttered. The pain of losing her was still strong, but it was easier to deal with.
"If she were here, she would tell you she misses you too,"" Jinxx told me. I smiled, thinking she would.
"Come on- we're supposed to meet the guys at Dave and Busters for Ashley's birthday," he said gently. I kissed my mom's headstone once more, grasped my husband's hand, and walked off into the sunset.
